COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brewers of Anderson Valley had to conjure the High Priestess of Fermentation to help them formulate and create this rare hand-crafted elixer. It is luxuriant, smooth, more that a little wild, and at 10% alcohol, it's bound to raise your spirits. Open the Bottle and greet the High Priestess. You are worthy.

A very old bottle I’ve had in the fridge for several years. Has a tad of funk, not sure if this is age or the yeastiness. Looks like a Rose, no head to speak of, vanilla, bubble gum, quite sweet. Alcohol is buried under the malts and wet hay funk, the spices others mention has disappeared with time, leaving only sticky sweetness.

Bottle. Murky golden brown color, medium white head that settles quickly. Aroma of straw, hay, and a bit of cardboard. Taste is very sweet straw.

22 ounce bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy bright orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Some nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of apricot, orange, pear, apple, plum, light banana, clove, pepper, honey, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of apricot, orange, pear, apple, plum, light banana, clove, pepper, honey, cadi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, orange, plum, pear, apple, clove, honey, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice Tripel style. Good balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hops flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

the aroma of malt, fruits and dry wine... the taste is rather clear, with shades of toffee and, a little bit, bananas... dry, sweet and bitter aftertaste... very good abbey ale in Belgian traditions...

Bottle was a gift from Monks café, Stockholm. Big beige head that quickly dissapear. Almost clear solid golden color. Small aroma from dried fruit and almonds. Sweet malty with a nice belgian yeast carracter. A bit too malty to be perfect, could be a bit more sugar instead of the malt to make it lighter in the body. Still a nice beer.

Bottle 355ml at home, poured into a small tulip, ABV 10% dark copper orange colour on the body, clear, with a small froathy off-white head on top. Low retention, it leaves light lacing on the glass. Very sweet aroma, with lots of malts in there, plenty of sugar, a bit buttery, some alcohol especially after a swirl or two of the glass, a hint of vanilla. Very sweet and alcoholic taste. Again plenty of malts and sugar, ripe dark fruits, light vanilla. Medium thick body, soft carbonation, a bit sticky on the palate and a warming feeling on the body from the alcohol. Overall quite good, nice sipper.

33cl botle Appearance: Golden color with a slight haziness and a medium white creamy head. Aroma: caramel, sweet fruits and US style hops. Give it a quite swee fruity dirrection. Taste: Following the aroma it’s quite sweet caramel with quite some fruityness f banana and cherries, Finishing a bit too boozy.but with a hint of sourness to make it drinkable. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Blind tasting I would say this is a barleywine and not a riple, but also a quie good one. Quite sweet caramel, American hops and lack of the Typical yeast profiles make me make tha decision.

Poured from bottle. Lotsa fruit and malt in aroma. Amber with hardly a head. Fruit and citrus flavors with big vanilla, cake, brown sugar, and a bit of spice. Noticed the alcohol on the first sip but not after. Just delicious.

If am an Abbey style ale fan , this is a good one .. Reminds me of Brothers thelonious. Very sharp, crisp beer with apple fruit tones. Great cold.
