This opens a bit gushy, all tall mocha brown head that takes awhile to settle down and allow any additions to the glass. A pleasant mix of light chocolate and coffee dominate the aroma, and the flavor is exactly what was promised from the aroma. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a good middle of the road Porter.

Poured a nearly opaque dark brown, forming a tall soapy dark tan head. The nose was of The nose was of thick coffee, toasted malts and a hint of chocolate sweetness. The taste started with chocolate and a bit of coffee; cutting acidity and roasty notes battle from mid to end; bitter roasted chocolate, mocha and some smoke in the back. The feel is right at medium, a touch dry on the finish. Drinkability is pretty good on this beer. Its not my favortie porter, but it is definately enjoyable.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a cocoa head. Sweet roasty malt aroma with some vanilla. Roasty, slightly astringent flavor with a bit of nuttiness. Medium body. Roast lingers.

beer pours a very dark brown that glows a deep red when held up to the light. big puffy brown head that retains and laces well. nose is a good mixture of sweet maltiness and a rich, chocolatey roastiness. flavor is nice and roasty/malty, without and dry-roasted astringency. very easy and fun to drink. this is a really good porter, with a nice complexity of sweet-roasted malts, and a nice little hop bight in the finish (Northern Brewer?)

Deep garnet brown pour with a fluffy, off-white head. Burnt licorice aroma with a hint of cocoa. Slightly metallic caramel flavor swirls with bitter chocolate, coffee, some raisins, with a glean of pacNW hops lingering around. Some carbonation in the mouthfeel. All in all pretty decent. Thanks to DarkElf for the bomber.

Practically opaque dark beer with a twinge of red, tiny carbonation bubbles but not "fizzy". Strong coffee and chocolate flavour, subtle aftertaste of chocolate and caramel. Nice porter.

What a relief it was to find 3 bottles of this stuff sitting in the cooler @ Windy City Liquor. I was beginning to think i would never have the chance to have this beer, but out of every person i hit up on this site only Darkelf knew where to still find some( thank you for that). Although the aroma was quite faint, a small profile of roastiness carried by a mocha undertone was what was to be found. Its a pretty smooth porter and has a average flavor that consists of very minor features that aren’t exaclty easy to put a label to. Look was a firm brown with tiny amount of head development. Nothing really special or for me to have gotten so excited about.
