Bottle - big, round, chocolate aroma. Looks like a porter. Large, rocky head. Flavor was a bit disappointing. Not as chocolatey and malty as expected. A touch fizzy - but a nice touch. Good, but the flavor didn’t quite live up to the aroma in my mind.

Bottle. Black body with mahogany edges. Tall frothy brown head. Nose is light coffee, dark chocolate and roasty malt. Taste is roasted malts, splashes of smoke, burnt coffee, dark chocolate and light notes of burnt wood. Body is slightly bitter with strong carbonation, and light smokiness lingering. Finish is bitter coffee and bittersweet chocolate with light smoke and roasted malts. Average porter.

Lovely dark dark brown color, low head. Toasted grain tastes with some coffee and chocolately notes. Dry woody end. Not so sweet - more smokey and bitter. Medium body. No one this stands out here, but the balance is just great. Excellent porter.

Pours chocolate-ish. Fluffy, sliky head.V.Subtle malt aroma Tight bubbles. Chocolately, light body. Prefect finish. Just right bitterness, giving a complex, interesting aftertaste. Nicely balanced, a little un-complex on the tounge but very good overall. Thin body is a problem, gives a slightly watery impression. Love anderson valley but this is not up to par. Drinkable.

22 oz. bottle. Pours an almost opaque black with a SUPER-thick fluffy tan head. Aroma is of hops and coffee. Taste is overwhelmed by VERY HIGH carbonation. There is some vanilla and roasty black coffee present along with a bitter finish.
