Dark woody pour, nice head, lots of lace. Creamy coffee aroma. Smokey, with a bitter coffee and a hint of smoke. Some nice dark chocolate flavors, nice carb. A bit of CO2 tartness at the end. Tasty brew, but not spectacular.

22oz in mug. Deep chestnut with medium, lasting buff head. Nose is ginseng, licorice, vanilla, slight metallic. Flavor is a bit dull; some roast, light caramel, and herb. Mouthfeel is pleasantly thick but finish is resinous. Meh. I feel like I really want a porter to be either gentle and sessionable or a palate-busting, tongue-scraping flavor bomb. This does neither, itís just kinda... beer.

Dark brown pour with tan head and lace. Coffee and light chocolate aroma. Roasted malt and light chocolate flavor. A tad thin and watery but very drinkable.

Black pour. Funky but fine yeasty coffee aroma. Roasty flavor with coffee and grassy hop notes that develop nicely on the palate. A touch of Coca-Cola in there too. A very good porter.

Roasted and coffee notes... A lot more smokey than a lot of porters Iíve had, not a bad offering, but Iíve brewed better porters... Anderson Valley makes much better hoppy beers

solid black, thick creamy tan head. Aroma of roast chocolate malt, mild citrus. Taste is milky sweet with some sweet citrus and very little burnt/coffee bitterness on the finish. Medium body, thin creamy texture, soft carbonation.

Pours a very dark chocolate/chestnut brown color with amber edges when held to a light source and a frothy 1.5 finger tan head that slowly fades into a thin ring. Minimal lacing. Deep roasty aroma with hints of chocolate malt, roasted coffee bean, toffee, caramel, hazelnut and toast. Overly carbonated up front, biting the tongue followed by a slightly roasty, creamy chocolate malt center and a bitter earthy dry finish. Hints of roasted coffee, toffee, oatmeal, milk chocolate and dry earthy hops. Kind of sweet mid palate with a dry bitter finish.

Dark brown ruby-tinged ale with a fluffy tan head. This is a traditional English style porter, so itís not a stout calling itself a porter. Bitter chocolate and cream with a little charred malt sourness at the finish. Nice porter that goes well with food.
