Big dark porter with tons of dark chocolate flavors. This was a tasty brew. I loved the finish this was and is going to be a sought after brew from now on for me.

Pours a deep dark brown color. Aromas of chocolate, coffee and a hint of hops. Flavor light chocolate, coffee, and a touch of tobacco. Medium body with a smooth dry finish.

22 oz. bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Dark brown pour with a creamy tan head. Aroma of floral hops and faint roasted malt. Taste is better; smoky malt, bitter chocolate, a hint of coffee. Light and sessionalbe for a porter but really not bad at all.

smell is of milk chocolate, a little coffee, and some malt.
taste is smooth and creamy, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and some malt, ends smooth and a little dry.

Rich roasted astringent cherry front and body develops hints of chocolate but roast dominates. Thin mouthfeel. Develops hop spiciness at end and finishes dry. Sampled 4/12/1999.

on tap-pours a tan head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-cocoa, secondary citrus. Taste is dark malt-cocoa, some earthy hops. Mild carbonation.

Refreshing porter. Nicely sweet but not too heavy. Nice carbonation bite adds to mouth-feel. I really enjoyed this one.

22 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a large frothy dark brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of dark roasted malts, chocolate, hops, coffee and a faint smoky note. Taste is bitter hops, chocolate, roasted malts, bitter coffee in the finish. Smooth, creamy, medium bodied. Tasty beer.

Deep dark pour, medium head.
Medium body... chocolate, coffee, and near-bread-like malt notes. Piney hops. Major pine and dark chocolate... "chocolate-covered-pine-needles," if those exist, would be similar to this in a few ways.
Very nice. Will buy again once located.
