Mouth feel is light-medium body, kinda watery, medium high carbonation. Overall, not the best porter I have had.... BMan1113VR (2755), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Apr 22, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a small, creamy off-white head over a dark brown body. Aroma of chocolate, bread and roast. Taste is roasty with bread and coffee. Kind of boring and weak. Watery mouthfeel, light bubbles. scottw86 (180), Maryland, USA Apr 18, 2009 Poured a very dark brown with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is sweet and chocolatey with grains and spme fruit? Flavor starts of grainy and slightly watery. Some hops in the middle of the taste that mix well with the carbonation. It finishes with a nice chocolate aftertaste which is slightly more bitter. Overall it is smooth and sweet. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Apr 9, 2009 Deep dark ruby brown. Pale tan head. Roasted grainy nose. Smooth, luscious body, although a bit thin, is lightly roasted, creamy, faintly acidic, light chocolate, coffee, finishing with mild mannered, bitter-sweet hops. A very quaffable porter, but nothing to go streaking through town about!
vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Apr 8, 2009 Pours dark brown with a crimson hue and a good sized soapy thick head. The aroma has dark caramel malt, rich cream, milk chocolate, molasses and little bit of hops. Medium smooth body with fairly soft carbonation. The flavor starts with dark toasted malt that is a bit roasty as well. There are also the traits from the aroma, but it seems to be hoppier with spicy / piny hops. The finish has a lingering hoppiness. Very solid porter.
