Dark and opaque with a layer of khaki head. Fudge and caramel in the nose with a touch toast and earthy. Medium bodied with a good malts and a mildly dry finish. Toasty and a bit buttery. Rather smooth with moderate acidity. A pleasant sweetness in the mildly cloying, sticky finish. Just not quite enough body. Not bad, just not enough... From a 22-oz bomber pours a dark cola brown brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of toasted dark malt, chocolate, a hint of roasted coffee and even some smoked wood. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of roasted dark malt, chocolate coffee and some dark pitted fruits. Ends on an almost smoky note.
