Light roasted malt, chocolate and coffee- basic aroma, but with a hint of unclean offness about it. Not drastically off, but enough to distract. The body is dark brown to black and holds a thick mocha head. Very mild tart notes on the first sip, followed by chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, cocoa and caramel. Decent full mouth feel. Tastes and smells just a tadd off.

22 ounce bottle from Johns in PDX--Poured an abysmal black-brown body with a nice looking beige head. Nose of roasted malts and chocolate. Flavor was a little lacking and finish was a bit dull. Very easy to drink. I probably need to revisit this one soon.

Poured from a 22-oz bottle into an English Pint glass. Appeared a coffee color with a nice, fluffy brown head. The nose was of roasted chocolate malt. Tase of bittersweet chocolate with a faint background of roasted coffee.

This brew pours a dark chocolate brown, borderline black with a tan head. Pretty large. Aromas of coffee and tree bark. Taste of burned coffee and almonds, roasted marshmallows and hersheys chocolate. As good as it tasted, the mouthfeel was a little light then what i look for in a porter, and the nose a bit weak as well.

Bomber. Poured clear, deep reddish-brown with a short cap of beige head. The aroma picked up semi-sweet, well-toasted caramel and chocolate notes with a bit of tea and brown sugar sweetness to round it out. The flavor settled in nicely with roasted darker chocolates at the core.. molasses and caramel rolled over the edges.. earth, coffee, and pine bitterness converge at the sweeter finish.. very well balanced. Medium-bodied, sweet, and roasty on the palate.. enjoyed the long roasty final impression.

Bomber. Pours a dark brown with a thick beige head. The aroma is mostly a coffee and somewhat sweet aroma. The flavor is full of coffee beans, malt, some odd sweetness too, I guess it’s chocolate. Not bad, but not my favorite porter. But I do love porters.

Smoky and charcoally, decent for what it is but nothing to get excited about. Very robust but not thirstquenching.

22 oz bottle. Poured a clear dark brown-ruby brown color. The head was thin and light tan. Aroma was of molasses, buttery caramel, steeping barley, and a hint of wet dog. Dry on the tongue up front with some sweetness at the end. The mouth feel was disappointingly thin. I tasted cocoa, caramel, and a sprinkle of roasted malt. There was more carbonation that I had expected. I didn’t get much in the way of hop flavor or bitterness. Not bad.
