Courtesy of Degarth. Pours deep dark brown with nice tan head and spotty lacing. The aroma is full, rich, thick and inviting and forces a quick hurried sip. I get notes of roasted malts, biscuit , hints of toffee, wheat bread, roasty burnt malts and chocolate. Pleasing combination. The flavor begins with roasted malts, burnt malts and with mild malt astringency. Into the finish the astringency grows a bit to balance the chocolate malts, mild burnt malts and roasty malts. Ends very nice.

Courtesy of Degarth.

dark brown pour, fully opaque...lighter brown edges...2 finger thick tan head...good retention and some nice lacing...tons of lace, actually...nose of roasted coffee beans, charred malts, chocolate, coffee grounds and some dark fruit esters...flavor profile is the same, but tastes a bit weak or muted in comparison to the aroma, all the parts just don’t mesh as well here...medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel, easy to drink...finish is roasted beans, coffee grounds, some chocolate and a small amount of anise or licorice...

Slightly above average Porter. May have suffered a bit going after Choklat in memory and Four O in taste, but I would drink this again.

Aug. 2006 - Out of control pour! Took nearly five minutes to get this bomber into two pint glasses. Talk about a pillowy head. Absolutely beautiful with lacing all over the glass as well. Aroma was soapy aroma. Dark color and really smooth mouthfeel. Roasy and sweet with very little bitterness. Perhaps a tad thin. Good beer, though.

Bottle from BevMo online. Very dark in color with little head. Roasted malty aroma with a bit of chocolate. Roasted coffee flavor, sweetened. Decent hop character. Bitter roasty finish.

A good porter. A ridiculous amount of head. Creamy. Chocolatey. A fine brew. Still had a good balance of hops and malt.

Bottle pours a deep inky black with a constant tan head. Spotty lacing. Nice big chocolate aroma. Lightly smokey and coffee in the flavor with plenty of chocolate here as well. Moderate palatte but softly carbonated and smooth. Thanks Jordan

5/4/05. Bomber. Deep dark brown with tan head. Pleasant cookie aroma. Mild bitter taste but a little thin in the body.

Bottle. Aroma of dark roasted malt and a small bit of chocolate. Near opaque brown color with an off-white head that ringed. Medium in body with near creamy carbonation. The flavor starts with a hint of sour, followed by dark roasted malt. A little coffee. The finish is relatively dry, and there seems to be a bitter chocolate persisting in the mouth. Although there does not seem to be a consistent flow of flavors from aroma to finish, it is a wonderfully tasty porter.
