Aug 21, 2009 22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and hoppy. Dry to flat roasted malty flavoured. Mild vanilla and chocolate note. Lingering and roasted malty flavoured into the far finish. Lingering roasted and bitter finish. Mild liqourice note.

Sep 4, 2009 Bottle. Sweet roasted aroma, hint of paper. Clear very dark brown colour. The flavour starts off roasted, turning smoky and ending slightly sweet. Well-balanced. Creamy finish. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but not bad at all.

Jan 4, 2007 (22oz bottle) Large rocky tan head atop black-brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, roast, coffee, chocolate, some earthy, sourness. Taste is badly infected sour cherry, some roast, light chocolate. Effervescent light-medium body. Will try to give this another shot, but disappointing to say the least.

Aug 27, 2009 The color is black with a red hue and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee and a touch of chocolate. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of coffee, roasted malt, licorice and it finishes slightly citrussy and roasted bitter. A lot of body/flavour considering the low ABV, and that I like!
