2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This black ale poured with a fluffy tan head. The flavor is chocolate malt, but is way too thin. There is a slightly bitter finish. This is a disappointing version of one of my favorite styles.

Pour is a black with a little red shining thru. Aroma is had you coffee-chocolate combo but very faint. Flavor also has some earthyness and roasted malts but oveall quite watery. Very easy to drink with nothing offensive. Iíve had better.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a clear dark brown with red hues and a beige head. Aroma of some dark roast and faint citrus. Flavor of some dark roast and faint citrus. Mouth feel is light-medium body, kinda watery, medium high carbonation. Overall, not the best porter I have had....

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
22 oz bomber. Vinious faintly smoky aroma. Malt flavor is chocolate that is quickly hijacked by a harsh smokiness, and then finished by a long sour wine-like finish.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
pours dark brown/black with a disappearing tan head. hmmm it just has a kinda fizzy thin look to it. good cocoa vanilla aroma with some funky oak and piney hops. flavor sweet cocoa and vanilla with a hint of bitter coffee and something seems off. something like tart green apple. finish bitter dry tart green apple and coffee with some piney almost soapy hops. not a drain pour but definitely not what i look for in a porter.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
bottle pours a nice rosy brown with an erect tan head that wonít go down. aroma is sawdust like with a weak chocolate touch. flavor is seltzer, swiss miss hot chocolate mix without marshmallows. a biting pine-ish bitter that ainít bad, but i really want more from this. the flavor just leaves me wanting. it is like a good porter drunk too cold, but this is not too cold. it is just hollow, so much so i think i hear an echo.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pint on tap at The Davis Graduate. Itís no longer on tap. Disappointing faint, metallic aroma with barely any roastiness or any other porter notes. Pretty faint. Mildly transparent mahogany body with a smallish, quickly dissipating light tan head. Has a bit of a minerally, watery start. Becomes a little rich and bitter with unsweetened bitter chocolate flavors in the middle. Finishes thin and boring. Thoroughly disappointing.

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
(22oz bottle) Large rocky tan head atop black-brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, roast, coffee, chocolate, some earthy, sourness. Taste is badly infected sour cherry, some roast, light chocolate. Effervescent light-medium body. Will try to give this another shot, but disappointing to say the least.
