mikey (321), farmington, Utah, USA Oct 28, 2005 Poured a nearly opaque dark brown, forming a tall soapy dark tan head. The nose was of The nose was of thick coffee, toasted malts and a hint of chocolate sweetness. The taste started with chocolate and a bit of coffee; cutting acidity and roasty notes battle from mid to end; bitter roasted chocolate, mocha and some smoke in the back. The feel is right at medium, a touch dry on the finish. Drinkability is pretty good on this beer. Its not my favortie porter, but it is definately enjoyable.

Aroma of deep roasted malts, coffee and a touch of sourness. Taste of roasted malt, mild chocolate with a lasting bitter finish. Nothing special here. alexanderj (1340), San Diego, California, USA Aug 15, 2008 Bottle; pours a dark black/brown with a light brown head. Aroma was heavy on roasted oats and caramel; some chocolate. Flavor was solid, but not spectacular. Roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Not the most pronounced flavors; mouthfeel was rather bland as well. Easy to drink, but easily forgettable as well. Retorp (2155), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 18, 2008 Light roasted malt, chocolate and coffee- basic aroma, but with a hint of unclean offness about it. Not drastically off, but enough to distract. The body is dark brown to black and holds a thick mocha head. Very mild tart notes on the first sip, followed by chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, cocoa and caramel. Decent full mouth feel. Tastes and smells just a tadd off.
Angeloregon (2002), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 30, 2008 22 ounce bottle from Johns in PDX--Poured an abysmal black-brown body with a nice looking beige head. Nose of roasted malts and chocolate. Flavor was a little lacking and finish was a bit dull. Very easy to drink. I probably need to revisit this one soon.
