UPDATED: JUN 3, 2003 Bottle: Nose is lacking. Faint malt chocolate. Nice dark brown color. Kinda plain tasting. some smoke. Thinnish creamy. Almost makes me think brown ale.

Dark with a light tan head. Not too heavy, but full bodied. Roasty taste with a hint of char. Hint of chocolate, but not too strong.

Bottle. Pours brown with a nice tan head. Aroma is caramel and roasted malts, nutty grains and bread. Flavor is sweet and similar to the aroma but with a touch of chocolate. Finish is slightly dry and nicely bitter.

355mL bottle poured dark brown with red highlights in the light and a creamy thick beige head with nice retention and lacing. Aromas of roasted malt and chocolate and a hint of coffee. Taste is roasted malty sweetness and chocolate balanced with some coffee and hop bitterness in the finish. This is an enjoyable tasting experience.

Pours near black with a light mocha head. Some lacing. Nose brings forward faint hints of chocolate and coffee along with a bit of a buttery toffee. Taste brings a bit more butter, which is quite unpleasant. Coffee and roasted malt cover up a bit, but not enough. Feel is of a moderate body and somewhat dry. Not one of their better offerings.

That’s a damn nice porter. Pours deep brown with a thin cappuccino head and some clings. Lovely mocha aroma with some vanilla. Nutty, chocolate, caramel in the taste with a lingering coffee finish.

A reddish brown porter with a thin light moka head. A sweet funky chocolate malt aroma, nuttella notes, a bit of mashed peas. In mouth, a caramelly chocolate with very nutty notes, oily mouthfeel, medium bodied. On tap at J. Ryans, August 29, 2010.

A good porter, not as rich as I was expecting, but good none the less. Enjoyed this one with GMK and Brenton at the Wheaty for the SABSOSA presentation.
