Tin. Pours very dark brown with long lasting white head. Mexican sugar aroma. Flavour is not sugar sweet, but malty with a bit of sweetness. Some nut, and hop, in the finish
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (9096) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 3, 2013
Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours clear dark brown with a large creamy beige head. Aroma hints of cola. Med body. Flavor is hinting at nutty brown, but I think dark caramel cola is a better description. Finishes with a light suggestion of chocolate. Tasty.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 SSSteve (3392) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 31, 2013
can. deep bronze color with a large, fluffy, beige head. toast and peanut shells in aroma. flavor has distinct toasty nuttiness with a creamy, smooth lager yeast on the palate. medium body, low carbonation. no cardboardy oxidized notes here. this is a fresh, robust, vienna lager.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 after4ever (5361) - Brier, Washington, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Can. Pours a murky dark amber with a dense and creamy tan head that falls quickly. Gingerbread and aluminum nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Gingerbread mid palate, mild caramel. Soft neutral finish. Underdeveloped, and that aluminum note is a shame.

Tallboy can into a pint glass. Pours a nice brown with a light tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty cereal. Taste is smooth and light with a bit of roast. A bit on the sweet side. Would go great with some spicy food.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rick_91709 (39) - USA - MAY 18, 2013
Poured from a can. Clear, reddish brown color. Don't think I've seen another beer quite like it. Large, foamy head. Coffee or caramel aroma. Weird flavor. Not bad, but probably won't buy again.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Reid (1615) - Salem,Oregon, Oregon, USA - MAY 12, 2013
16oz can from "Lifesource" Salem.
$2.29.
I am assuming this is the same beer there is no mention of "Mexican" and the alc is 5.5%
Pours a dark amber colour with a large frothy.thick eggshell white head.
Aroma plain toasted malts,peanuts,demerara sugar.
Sweet malty lager, very simple..slight hop in the end but ends watery.
Palte is OK normal for style.
Not bad but in reality i would take a Negra Modelo over this

Pounder can picked up at Bier Thirty in Bown tonight for about $2.25... Poured into my slim tulip produces an abundant 3 finger tannish head atop a clear walnut brew.... the head dies back pretty quickly but leaves good lacing.
For the lion’s share, the nose shows toasty malts... but there is a "tinny/metallic" quality that I am picking up on pretty heavily... it dissipates with warmth, but is no doubt there.
Flavor is better, but still a mild metallic element remains.. more though the malts shine very clean... no real hoppiness to come into play.. dark toast is the big player on the finish.
Body is light/medium and a pretty abundant carbonation...
Decent beer (and I love dark lagers), but the tinny quality is pretty off-putting.
Overall, this is a nice beer for peeps that appreciate dark lagers. Otherwise, the will pan it. I like it a lot.
