COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a brilliant, deep copper hue and creamy beige-colored head, our Fall Hornin’ Pumpkin Ale has inviting aromas of caramelized malt and baking bread with highlights of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and seasonal spices. The pleasantly creamy mouthfeel and silky body embrace the sweet caramel flavors and tang of spices (with just a hint of hops) that ends in a smooth, round finish. Malts: Pale Two-Row, Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal 120L, Dark Chocolate, Pumpkin Puree Hops: Bravo

Pours a darker amber color almost copperish with off-white head. Pumpkin pie spicing is most prevalent on the nose, a little caramel malt as well; follows onto the palate. Finishes with just a bit more sweetness than I would like in this style.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 12 oz can. Deep, dark copper pour, nice long lasting off-white head. Aroma has a nice dose of pumpkin pie spice and nutmeg. Flavor is very pleasant and not over-spiced or candy-like. Nice nutmeg notes, a touch of cinnamon, some brown sugar notes. Mouthfeel has a decent thickness to it. One of the better pumpkin ales of the season thus far.

On tap at Wegmans in Potomac Town Center, VA, where it was served an entirely too cold temperature that was appropriate for a macro, but not a craft beer. I had to let it warm before drinking. Nearly opaque, dark brown with a huge khaki head and excellent lacing. Aroma of nutmeg, molasses, pie spices, a modicum of pumpkin fruit and a hint of cocoa. Taste of chocolate malt, nutmeg, orange, pie spices, brown sugar and toasted malt. The taste is a bit thin compared the aroma. Although it was quite good, it left me wanting a richer flavor. Medium/light body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured a dark brown colour with a thick medium head that had retention. My a very noticeable aroma. Initial tastes of pumpkin and spice with a malty finish. Expected a bit better from Anderson Valley.

Bottle at Red Robin. Light pumpkin aromas way over this dark amber ale. Notes of molasses hover over prominent bit not over the top spices of cinnamon, clove, and allspice. Not hoppy, which is pleasant for this style. I’ll be looking for a case for the game.

Pumpking Jr. Has all the spices and seasonal flavours with a lighter body. Actually pretty easy to knock back. A well made Fall beer.

For a pumpkin beer I was very disappointed in the aroma. There was not scent that even resembled pumpkin. This could possibly be because the beer was sitting in my fridge since last season, but I would have expected better. The beer did have very excellent lacing but the color was deep brown and was also unfiltered. As for flavor I experienced some metallic taste (probably its time in the can I opened). It was a little too tart for my liking. The aftertaste was also not favorable. Overall this one rates lower on my pumpkin beer list.

"A purty beer that like many is more spice than pumpkin. Opens up nicely though. Nutmeg, all spice, light ginger & cinnamon. Nice smooth malty backbone, which works well with this one. About on par with Sam Adams Harvest Pumpkin, just better lookin."

Great spicy aroma. Pours dark amber with a very stiff, beige head. Cinnamon dominates, with a nice sweetness. Finish is slightly bitter. Higher than average carbonation. Very easy drinking.

12oz can. Kind of clear dark red color. Thin khaki head, leaving very nice lace. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick finish. Moderate sweet taste, mild bitterness. Some spice. Good pumpkin, spice flavors, kind of toasty. Solid, complex easy-drinking smooth pumpkin ale. Nice malt profile stands up to the spice.
