With a brilliant, deep copper hue and creamy beige-colored head, our Fall Hornin’ Pumpkin Ale has inviting aromas of caramelized malt and baking bread with highlights of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and seasonal spices. The pleasantly creamy mouthfeel and silky body embrace the sweet caramel flavors and tang of spices (with just a hint of hops) that ends in a smooth, round finish. Malts: Pale Two-Row, Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal 120L, Dark Chocolate, Pumpkin Puree Hops: Bravo

Can. Pours a dark amber with a thick layer of beige head. Aroma of pumpkin with some alive and that’s it. Taste still of pumpkin but with a malty hint.

Mild hazy deep brown. Thick fluffy egg nog colored head. Aroma is spicy and sweet from malt. Excellent balance between subtle pumpkin aroma and fall spices. Flavor is similarly balanced between sweet and spicy. Pumpkin is definitely noticeable in body and flavor. Malt sweetness holds it all together. Medium sweet finish with lingering pumpkin pie flavor. ---Rated via iPhone

Deep mahogany beer with a creamy tan head that sets up in peaks. Nose is dominated by sweet spice with nutmeg. cinnamon, and ginger the most prominent. Flavor is surprisingly watered down given the aroma, which is a shame. It has a sweet malty brown sugar backbone with hints of the pumpkin pie spices followed by a light bitterness. I expected the spice to grow and linger into the after taste, but everything just fell flat. Good idea. Poor execution.

Pours an opaque brown with creamy, coarse, milkshake like beige head. The aroma smells strongly of cinnamon and pumpkin. The flavor begins malty with some bitterness behind it, followed by a pumpkiny thickness. The finish is unexpectedly bitter and lingering. I don’t like it as well as other Anderson Valley products.

12oz can from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours orange brown with a huge beige head that gushes from the can and a pumpkin and spice aroma. There is a strange dark malt flavor with too much nutmeg and a pumpkin finish. Not very tasty.

Can pour. Rich copper color with soapy head. Nose is straight autumnal spice cabinet. Not nauseating (comes across natural), but not enticing. Nothing about this nose make me want to take a sip. This is a perfume better suited to a pie. Taste is more palatable. More vegetal than all-spice. Like almost all beers in this sub genre, I do not understand the appeal.

Pours a deep clear ruby red with a light tan head. Aroma of cola, cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin spice. Taste is sweet with a dark spicy note. Bitter in the finish. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours nearly black with a big head out of the can. Nice aroma but a little lackimg in taste. Still pretty darn good.

Pours a dark golden brown. Aroma is full of spice, not much pumpkin. The taste introduces the pumpkin and follows with more spice. This isn’t anything remarkable but it’s very drinkable and has a nice "autumn" feel to it. I liked it.

Pours deep amber brown with some red tones and creamy tan, quickly dissipating head. It smells like pumpkin, molasses, some spice. Nice roasty notes caramel and pumpkin sweetness, a light vegetal note and a medium bittersweet finish. Medium bodied with some fairly lively carbonation. I like it. I don’t think the spice is overpowering and the darker malt bill lends well to pumpkin flavor.
