COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a brilliant, deep copper hue and creamy beige-colored head, our Fall Hornin’ Pumpkin Ale has inviting aromas of caramelized malt and baking bread with highlights of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and seasonal spices. The pleasantly creamy mouthfeel and silky body embrace the sweet caramel flavors and tang of spices (with just a hint of hops) that ends in a smooth, round finish. Malts: Pale Two-Row, Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal 120L, Dark Chocolate, Pumpkin Puree Hops: Bravo

Clear reddish brown, moderate to large head, some lace/retention. Aroma is promising with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, light chocolate and caramel. Mouthfeel is somewhat watery, medium to light bodied. Decent.

Bottle via Beer World Kingston, NY. Deep ruby in the mug. Glowing thin oily tan head. Solid dense lacing/foam clings to sides of mug. Strong nose of pumpkin spice. This is the put the basement back together beer today. One of many from the looks of it. Body follows nose thru to mirror finish.

Orange/toffee colored pour. Not much of a head. No lacing. Smells a bit like root beer on the first nosing of it. Big ginger notes. Taste is malty with a bit of cinnamon and ginger. Not bad. A bit roasty in the back.

Pours a dark, hazy orange-brown with a bit of a head out of the superior package. Very strong aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg. Not much pumpkin to speak of, mostly just the spices. Pretty watery and thin. No off-flavors really, just not a whole lot there. Drinkable.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4831) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 2, 2013
Sampled on draft at Smokin’ Joe’s this beer poured a medium nut brown color with a large foamy off white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was strong dry cinnamon, nutmeg and clove with nothing backing it up. The flavor was strong cinnamon sugar and nutmeg that overwhelmed anything else that may have been there. Very one dimensional. Very long cinnamon sugar finish Medium body. Ok.

Draught. Pours a slightly hazy brown color with a moderate tan head on it. Nose is filled with all of the pumpkin spices that I’m just not a fan of. Taste was overwhelmed with spices that make you think of fall, but that don’t belong in a beer.

Undated 12 oz can served in a pint glass. Surprisingly dark for style, but clear with a good head. Nice spicy aroma but smells like it may be over-spiced. T: ... and it is. Moreover, the spicing seems too simple with overly dominant nutmeg. M: medium body with medium carbonation.

Can. Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is medium to dark brown. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie), with notes of nutmeg/allspice and cola. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not bad...pretty simple and straightforward, nothing great or terrible to see here.
