3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Attractive dark red body and stable head. Light spice, nutty malts, bit of toffee and caramel. Taste is more straightforward and soft sweet. Nice low carbonation. It’s okay but I expected more, especially for a holiday beer. (Bottle from Saveur Bière)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. can poured to a goblet, displaying a clear, brownish amber color, with a presentable layer of tan, frothy head foam, and etched-like lacing. The nose was lightly toasted, with some caramel sweetness, and subtle, but aromatic pie spices. Pumpkin seemed somewhat indistinguishable, but I’m sure added to the toastiness, and assisted the malt in showing some texture & creaminess to the mouthfeel. Medium bodied, with lively carbonation, a dry and earthy hop bitterness combined with the spices, showed a bit more cinnamon & clove, and lingered together into the finish, along with some spiced tartness. The distinct dryness was a nice diversity from most pumpkin brews.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a frothy, off white and mostly diminishing head. Body is clear red brown with sparkles visible.
Aroma contains cookie, roatsed malts, citrus fruits, flowers, leather, grape, raisin, apple, pineapple, coriander, cinnamon, other spices and pumpkin.
Flavor is light acidic, then light acidic and light sweet and finishing in bitter.
Body is light to medium with watery texture and almost no carbonation.
Funny beer, you can smeel malts but taste hops. It got much better when it warmed (or when I got used to it)

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
It has a three finger khaki head that has decent retention before fading to a thin film. There is a lot of sticky webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of caramel and roasted pumpkin.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
A fair whack of cinnamon, pepper and pumpkin in the aroma. Awful sweet spice mix in the flavour. Lingering sweet aftertaste. Loads of cinnamon. Undrinkable.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Darkest pumpkin beer I seen in a long time. Spices dominate the aroma and body of the beer. Pumpkin and malts and in the profile and bitterness is light. Anderson Valley brewed a Fall worthy seasonal.
