COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a brilliant, deep copper hue and creamy beige-colored head, our Fall Horniní Pumpkin Ale has inviting aromas of caramelized malt and baking bread with highlights of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and seasonal spices. The pleasantly creamy mouthfeel and silky body embrace the sweet caramel flavors and tang of spices (with just a hint of hops) that ends in a smooth, round finish. Malts: Pale Two-Row, Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal 120L, Dark Chocolate, Pumpkin Puree Hops: Bravo

12 oz bottle poured at home. Day 1 of the craft beer advent calendar. Pours a dark brown color with a beige head that sticks around. Smells like oatmeal brown bread (baking) and spice. This is a more subtle flavor than other pumpkin beers iíve had, which is a good thing. There is a nice bitter finish to it. I like it for a seasonal beer.

Clear dark amber pour. Couple fingers of tan head, decent retention. Green pumpkin and spice aroma. Taste is much heavier on the spice, less pumpkin only slightly present. Fairly sweet. Still one of the better pumpkin beers Iíve tried.

Craft Beer Advent Calendar Day 1: Deep orange/amber pour with a foamy off white head. Flavour is vegetables, with some spices. A bit thin/watered down.

Appearance: clear deep amber with one finger of medium dense ivory head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Aroma: vegetal pumpkin, pumpkin pie spices, caramel and slightly bready malt, mild red berries, faint pine and chocolate. (6/10) Taste: moderate-high sweet, moderate bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium-full body, moderate-soft carbonation, off-dry bitter finish. (4/5) I was a little disappointed to see a pumpkin ale as the first selection in this yearís advent calendar, but upon reflection I can sort of see it as autumnís last hurrah, ushering in the winter season. And, to be fair, itís an OK pumpkin ale - a nice blend of real pumpkin flavour and the usual suspect spices, with enough boldness to avoid being watery and boring. I find myself warming up to it the more the glass progresses. Just as long as thereís not a second one lurking in thereÖ (14/20)

355ml bottle pours a deep amber color with a finger and a half of light beige head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is pumpkin and some pumpkin pie spices, likely cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is a herbal hop bitterness with a caramel malty sweetness with the pumpkin pie spices and a dry finish. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. A nicely crafted brew for the style. Recommended.

11/XI/15 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: n/a (2015-1549)

Clear ruby purple beer, creamy irregular yellow to beige head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very spicy, lots of cloves, quite some cinnamon, ginger bread. MF: soft carbon, medium body. taste: bit sweet, caramel, ripe banana, very spicy, somewhat citric. Aftertaste: lots of cloves, cinnamon, some caramel, way too spicy. Meh.

Hazy brown with a thin white head. Sweet aroma of caramel and cinnamon. Taste confirms the sweetness, adding pumpkin, cake, chocolate. Creamy, medium bodied, not much bitterness here. Surprisingly a very good ale!
