With a brilliant, deep copper hue and creamy beige-colored head, our Fall Hornin’ Pumpkin Ale has inviting aromas of caramelized malt and baking bread with highlights of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and seasonal spices. The pleasantly creamy mouthfeel and silky body embrace the sweet caramel flavors and tang of spices (with just a hint of hops) that ends in a smooth, round finish. Malts: Pale Two-Row, Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal 120L, Dark Chocolate, Pumpkin Puree Hops: Bravo

Chestnut colored with white head. Aroma is faintly both ornage and pumpkins spices, not unlike a mulled orange peel tea. Refreshing malt base that’s both sweet and clean at the same time. Very drinkabke. $1.6/12oz

From the bottle, pours a deep, dark translucent blood red with a thick off-white head. Smells or earthy spices and pumpkin pie, some dark malts, piney. Taste is thin, not very flavorful but for some reason not watery. Light notes of pumpkin pie spice, bitter at the end. Very much a beginner’s pumpkin ale. It’s ok.

Aroma: dark malt, nutmeg, cinnamon, spicy. Appearance: clear amber color, nice beige had. Taste: low bitterness, really zesty (nutmeg, cinnamon), dark malt, some pumpkin notes (weak), quite bland. Palate: medium body and low carbonation, spicy finish. Overall: Quite difficult to say that this is actually pumpkin beer. Very spicy and that’s is boring.

Appearance: Dark brown body that shows a dark red hue as light shines through it. Through the darkness it is still apparent that the beer is pretty transparent. The head is a lucious creamy light tan fluff that leaves great lacing on the glass.

Aroma: I pick up cinnamon and some clove. It smells pretty standard for a pumpkin ale.

Taste: There is a nice toasty bread flavor to this beer right up front. It’s very delicious tasting and I just keep getting more bread characteristics...it’s like eating wheat toast. A cinnamon flavor comes through, but I’m not picking up any other spices. The cinnamon is about medium strength but the base beer has a lot of flavor that pushes it out of the way a bit.

Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is very present while drinking, but afterwards it is a bit thin. It has perfect carbonation. Not a lot of hop or grain bitterness. Pretty standard feeling overall. The beer is highly drinkable.

Overall: It’s a really good pumpkin beer. If you’re a fan of strongly spiced pumpkin beers it probably wouldn’t be fr you. If you want just enough pumpkin spice to remind you that it is the fall, my recommendation is to try it. What I really like is that the base beer is tasty enough to stand by itself. Even if you aren’t a fan of pumpkin spice, the nice toasted flavor in the beer really makes this a pleasant beer to drink. I’m going to pick up some more.

12 oz bottle from Imbibe Wine. Nose is light nutmeg and cinnamon and a hint of cocoa. Clear rusty brown with a small beige head. Flavor is pumpkin pie spices and caramel. Very mediocre pumpkin ale. Glad I only bought one $2 bottle not a sixer or case!

Mooie gebalanceerde pumpkin ale. Kruidig, maar niet té. Mooie romige body ook. Proef je niet vaak in ales.

Draft at Universal Joint. Pours murky brown with a thick, creamy beige head and lots of lacing. Tastes like dry, bitter spice, pumpkin, roasted malt, and a hint of sweet pumpkin pie. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet pumpkin pie, cinnamon, some vegetable, and some alcohol.

Tap. Pours hazy brown with thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma is pumpkin notes (not overdone), cookie and bready malts, some vanilla, light spice, and faint woodiness. Flavor is dry and malty with big spice presence, well balanced pumpkin and vanilla sweetness, with a good touch of hop bitterness; dry throughout. Medium body and carbonation.
