With a brilliant, deep copper hue and creamy beige-colored head, our Fall Hornin’ Pumpkin Ale has inviting aromas of caramelized malt and baking bread with highlights of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and seasonal spices. The pleasantly creamy mouthfeel and silky body embrace the sweet caramel flavors and tang of spices (with just a hint of hops) that ends in a smooth, round finish. Malts: Pale Two-Row, Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal 120L, Dark Chocolate, Pumpkin Puree Hops: Bravo

Phoenix bottle. Nice bubbly amber pour with a stable, tan head. Decent lacing too. Big aroma of meaty pumpkin and something similar to Big Red chewing gum. Flavor has cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet perfume. Slight bitterness in the finish from the hops. Well done pumpkin beer.

[Bottle (12oz).] Pours a very dark amber-brown with an average size long lasting frothy tan and some lacing on the glass. Aroma of spices, caramel malt, pumpkin, lactic notes and some very light hops -- pretty decent. Flavour is malty and lactic followed by spices, pumpkin and a long but light bitter finish -- simple but pleasant. Medium bodied. Well made version of the style, I liked it.

A solid pumpkin offering - slightly above average offering. Looks and smells very good. Tastes a bit of darker caramel malt with heavy spices.. I’d drink again

Slightly dark copper ample head. Very spicy nose clove nutmeg and a touch of vanilla . A bit of astringency and herbal bitterness. A bit of doughy maltiness. Interesting as beer that tastes nothing of hops and malt.

Poured from a 12 ounce can (canned pumpkin comes in beer form). This is a great pumpkin beer. There are noticeable tannins from the spices. This smells like slightly burnt pumpkin pie. Slight toffee aromas and flavors, the flavors of toffee may be burnt sugar as well. This is a good beer, I would really like this without the spice tannins.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Can. Amber mahogany pour. Off white head. Awesome nose of nutmeg and mild cinnamon. Smooth palate. Taste is sweet but not overly so. I really like this!

Can at Velvet Lounge. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is cookie and toast malt, dates, nutmeg, cloves, and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with spices, light hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Disappointed, especially considering its score. Smell and taste are a little musky. Could it be an old can? Other than the muskiness it’s an average pumpkin beer. It’s a little heavy on the clove.
