COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks zvikar. Hazy amber with white ring. Pine and delicate perfume aroma, piney, dry and very bitter taste, medium body, fizzy, dry finish.

~Strong hop aroma of citrus lemon, orange, and grapefruit with piney and floral notes. Bready biscuity malt character. ~Pours a hazy yellowish orange color with big long lasting fluffy white head. ~Surprisngly malty bready flavor up front and throughout with a huge blast of citrusy and piney malts. ~Heavy bodied, with medium low CO2, creamy, long lasting hop bitterness. ~Enjoyable beer. Not really a fan of this style as they tend to be too sweet in attempt to balance out large hop dosing. This is one of the better ones that i’ve had. Doesn’t give me a stomach ache.

355 ml bottle. 4258/9. BB 2/9/14. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear golden amber colour with an average sized foamy off-white head. The aroma is very nice with fruity and piney hops, moderate bitterness and some maltiness. Balanced it seems to be. Let’s see. The flavour is rather nice and balanced. There’s piney and resiny hops but not that overwhelming. Biscuit maltiness and moderate sweetness. The bitterness is balanced. Enjoyable.

Unfiltered gold colour. Nose hoppy but very slight for a Double IPA. Huge hop flavour up front, lingers a bit and then sweetness from the malts comes out in the finish. Bitter hops dominate the aftertaste.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks zvikar. Hazy yellow. Aroma of malt, slightly honey-ish, and hops, citric, floral and kinda stale. Sweetish malty flavor with a bit of caramel and honey and a bitter finish with pretty stale hops. Medium-bodied. Seems past its prime.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a snifter. Purchased this bottle @ Julio’s. A nice gold color with a thin off white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is strong pine needles and pine cones. Taste has a good amount of sweet malts, caramel, and strong resin, pine cones and grapefruit. The resinous notes are a bit much for my personal tastes. The bitter pine finish lingers a bit too much for me. Not bad just really not my kind of DIPA. I need citrus with my pine. The ABV is hidden and drinks like a 6% brew… so that is a good thing.

12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Mostly clear amber-gold with a large lasting fluffy-foamy head. Floral bitterness, light grain, a little lactic. Taste - very nice, floral, almost perfumed bitterness, not overly alcoholic - different, but good. Light body, decent carbonation, only a medium-long finish .... pretty solid, a little citrus in the linger.

They get points for the word of the day in the title. Good aromas in this DIPA, but not in the top tier.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark orange with a medium white head on top with beautiful lacing. Aroma is tropical and citric and has some sweet caramel tones. Flavor is quite bitter with a stable malty backbone. Definitely some grapefruit and hop juice. Quite nice in balance, long, medium bitter finish. Nice.

Draught at Monk’s American Bar, Stockholm. Clear amber, rich head. Aroma of lychee, tangerine and dough. Quite sweet with roiunded mouithfeel and medium-full body. Sugared dough, tangerines and salt. Fruity with long bitter finish.
