Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

Bottle. Hazy amber-orange color, medium, white, lacing head. Really nice grapefruit, mandarin, peach aroma, rich and fruity. Surprisingly dry taste, harsh bitterness, that´s a lot of hop. Thick mouthfeel, nice fresh carbonation, caresses the tongue. Leaves a long lasting bitterness on the tongue, also nice malt and cereal touch, slightly fruity. Minus points for the very harsh, long lasting bitterness. I know it´s an IPA, but for my taste a bit too much. Nevertheless a good IPA.

from Amstein - gusher ... copper-orange beer with a poor head retention; aroma of bitter oranges and resiney hops; thick and full-bodied, some swetness and a fair late bitterness; very fruity hoppy finish (peaches, citrus, mango) and more resiney and piney notes

35.5cl bottle at The Beer Bridge in Bangkok. Poured into a tuliplease glass. A lovely rich hazy amber colour with a nice white head. Aroma of hops and fruit. Good full bodied and all round flavour. Some sweetness. Grapefruit, caramel and hops. Medium carbonation. Bitter aftertaste.

On tap at Tavern 18, New Hyde Park. Pour into a tulip, hazy orange grapefruit color with a persistent creamy eggshell head. Aroma is grapefruit, pine, some orange peel, slight maltiness. Aroma doesn’t pop to me. Flavor is malty up front (surprisingly), caramel, nice lemon and grapefruit bitterness, some orange. Really great. Pleasant carbonation. Overall a phenomenal beer.

W aromacie karmel, tropiki (głównie mango), poza tym niewiele. Barwa jasnobursztynowa, minimalnie opalizujące. Piana wysoka, średnio pęcherzykowa, szybko opada do niskiej i utrzymuje się do końca. Smak bardzo grejpfrutowy (zielone grejpfruty), wyraźne cukierki ślazowe. Po ogrzaniu pojawia się też alkohol. Wysoka i lekko zalegająca, grejpfrutowa goryczka.

bottle from pivnizub - thanks! Full-bodied, intensively malty with the alcohol discreetly disguised. Lots of aromatic hops that add citrus flavours and some pine.

Light gushing to very good, dense & fine yellow head over hazy ochre-orange beer; shards of lace. Very cakey & fruity hops, caramel, maltsyrup, but also citrus, ureum, passion fruit, melon, overripe banana, etc. Bitter, on a sweeter, cakey or biscuity background. Bitter (hop)oils, resin, pine; vegetable bitterness and fruit as citrus (tangerine, grapefruit) or preserved fruit on syrup. Long-lasting flavours; Very oily-slick, rather well-bodied; bit fiery feel, highly carbonated. Quite a good one.
