COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

MALTS:
Pale Two-Row, Victory

HOPS:
Columbus, Chinook, Cascade

Bottle from the LCBO. Bright orange-copper body with a good sized close-to-white head. Thick and resinous aroma of citrus peel and pine, with some caramel and orange blossom sweetness playing support. Flavour follows the aroma pretty closely, with tangerine, orange oil, grapefruit peel and pine resin all coming on strong, although as it warms, a stronger malt base starts to come through. In the end, it verges on being a well-hopped barley wine.

Equilibrada e muito saborosa. Notas picantes e amargor na medida. Espuma não muito persistente.

Smells nice, classic double IPA aromas. Sweet malt, onion like hop aroma, citrus. Clear golden color, foamy white head. Tastes nice, quite on the malty side. Upfront a candy sweetness, finishes with stinging hops, onion and citrus characteristics. Long bitter finish. An assertive, if uncomplex, double IPA. Medium bodied and average carbonation.

Bottle. Cloudy orange, offwhite lace. Tropical grapefruit hops, pine, quite bitter, earthy and metallic at times. medium light sparkly body. Well, the label did not lie...

650ml bottle. Like the commercial discription points to, the pour is of polished brass with a nose of grapefruit. Thick head dissolves slowly leaving behind consistant lacing. Prominent bitternessis well balanned with malt flavours. Mango comes to mind along with other citrus notes. Hops and malt blend perfectly. Not to much of either. Warn mouthfeel created by the 8.7%abv is not overwhelming. Very solid dipa.

Dark gold with a fluffy white head that laces the glass. Aroma is pretty mild, some pine some light citrus a little soapy. Some sweet honey malt flavor up front balanced by some piney bitterness with a medium dry finish. Medium mouth feel a little slick on the tongue, medium carbonation. I don’t think this beer survived the trip to Ontario, would love to try it fresh.

Bottle. Unclear dark amber pour with dense lasting offwhite head. Aroma has elderflower and peach on a sweet malty base. Powerful aroma. Taste starts with a kick of bitterness that subsides slowly leaving a balanced impression. Ends quite sweet.

Bottle: Light haze, golden straw hue, light to medium head and great lace. Huge lift of malt. Biscuit and lightly roasted malt. There is some underlying citrus and hops. Very dry. Not sour although there’s a lot of CO2 and then high bitterness. Well attenuated beer. More of a East Coast or English IPA. Massive malt and flavor. A little more richness might help the palate but loads of flavor. Hops are integrated.

Bottle: Pours a dark honey golden color and topped with a monster creamy beige head. The hop aroma is thick and potent; citrus, pine, floral, and tea leaves. Dank comes to mind. Piney and resin hop flavors at first, finishing with a little sweeter citrus and caramel note. Some bready malt notes. Lingering bitters. Lip smacking. Potent hops and a syrupy sweet malty thing that hints at big brother barley wine. Little waves of sheet lacing stack up on my goblet… time to sit back and enjoy; this is a solid IIPA.

Just some words during a social night out - alcohol, tangerine, nice caramel, soapy..
