Robust. Brewed with a heelch (that means a lot in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

Bottle. Amber beer with an exceptional frothy white head. The aroma is gently hopped, the flavour on the other hand is extremely well hopped with a long bitter, dry and roasted finish. Overall a good strong IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good overall IPA. Great cloudy amber color. Smooth and not too bitter. Compares to Bell's Two Hearted or Founder's Centennial.

Quite pleasant surprise from Anderson Valley. Great Double IPA with nice hop combo and balance. Quite intense maltiness, citrusy, pine. Moderate sweet with moderate to heavy bitterness. Highly drinkable even with quite dry and bitter finish

From 12oz bottle. Pours kind of hazy mandarin orange copperwith a very nice foamy yellow-white head that settles to a lumpy froth. Super automatic marshmallow lacing. Aroma is sweet citrus and biscuits. Taste is malts and candied orange citrus - a real sweetness - that drops of into an astringent bitter hoppy end. Aftertaste is piney hop bitterness with candy vapor. Minimal carbonation and very dry on the palate. Swish it in your mouth and you can feel the alcohol drop right out of the flavor profile. The bridge between candy sweet and bitter is a bit too stark to characterize this beer as exceptionally balanced. Nonetheless, it is an enjoyable DIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Id think this would be an alias of the other 8.7% DIPA, but cannot confirm that. Pours with a clear golden orange hued color with a large white head that leaves great lace. Aromas are of candied orange, pine, tangerine and grapefruit. Medium sweet notes. Citrusy, lightly dank, perceived sweet fruity notes. Flavors are mildly malty, nutty, bitter, citrusy, grapefruit, candied orange. Lightly spicy. Somewhat estery yeast character for typical 001/1056 IPA. Tea. Seems a touch faded (13253 bottled on date). Fuller carbonation, off dry, medium bodied.

Im surprised to see that its 100IBU cause flavor was very smooth balance between hops palette and malt profile, something between IIPA and DIPA. Thick, malty mouthfeel, fruity-citrus-pine hoppy, thick foamed, quite light colored. For I/D IPA it could be more impressive, more hoppy overall, or more to the malt profile but at least - more.

12 oz bottle from Total Wine and More The D/IPA poured a cloudy light amber with a thick frothy head and lacing. The aroma of pine and grapefriut hits you immediately. This is a complex beer with bitter resin blended with citrus. The medium body ale had average carbonation. The finish has a lingering grapefruit bitterness in the back of your mouth.
