Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

On tap at Brunzies. Really fruity and sweet, rose, peach, orange and pineapple and some resin. Medium golden amber clear with pillowy-foamy white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation and light warming. Starts moderately sweet with lots of sugary-juicy hop flavor, fruity notes and bitter undertones. Medium bitter finish with sweet after and dry bitterness. Nice IPA.

This is a pine-dominated beer. Pours an amber-orange with white head and good lacing. Smells better than it tastes - aroma of bitter pine, banana and fruit esters, malty biscuit, grassiness. Only some of that comes through in the taste; ends in very very bitter and dry (but somewhat oily) finish. I think I expected more complexity from a DIPA - the smell sets you up to be somewhat disappointed by the taste, which is a bit like run-of-the-mill IPA with the hoppiness turned up to 11.

12oz bottle. Hazy amber with huge white head - looks great. Muted pine aroma with some sticky caramel and nutty malt. Hops are more or less gone from this - some pine and a bit of citrus in the taste. Mainly biscuit and nutty malt happening. Still a decent bitter bite to this: pine driven. Medium mouthfeel. Bottle is past its best, but to be honest I'm not going to be rushing to try a fresh one.

Bottle 12 fl.oz from La Cave du Haut Jura - St Laurent-en-Grandvaux (F). Coppery veiled neer, pale ochre head. Powerful aromas of citrus, pine, caramel and flowery note. The taste initiates with sweetness then arrives a powerful bitterness of citrus, pine, sustained by a strong malt, biscuit and toffy. Dry beer with hints of pepper, exotic fruits, resin and grapefruit full pot. A little sticky.
