COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

MALTS:
Pale Two-Row, Victory

HOPS:
Columbus, Chinook, Cascade

22oz. bottle. Aroma of fruity, citric hop, floral and fresh, with suggestions of grapefruit, orange, faint pine and some very light caramel maltiness. Lightly hazy light amber in color, with a thick, foamy, lasting head and gobs of lacing. Flavor profile is gently sweet and hoppy with notes of tropical fruit, citrus, light caramel tones and pine, and finishing with a moderate dosage of hop bitterness and citric, American C-hop flavor. Smooth and low in effervescence on the palate, lightly resinous and oily but creamy and very easy to quaff, even dangerously so, and with a medium-full body. Nary a trace of the nearly 9% alcohol content, even as it warms. Quite a drinkable rendition.

Smell of spruce. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma of hops, orange peel, some spruce in finish. Flat carbon.

22oz bomber from Spirits Middletown. Poured a great looking syrupy honey bronze body with a large long lasting full frothy off white head. Aroma of honey topped biscuits, cereal grains, green grapes and tropical fruits. Super smooth body with softer carbonation, a slightly dry lingering finish, and a full syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor of honey, green grapes, toast, cereal, grain husks, dry citrus rinds. This is one of the best A.V. beers I’ve had.

Słodowy zapach ze śladami liczi, fantastyczna piana, bursztynowy kolor i zbilansowana goryczka z ogrzewającym finiszem. Warto :)

On tap at the brickstore. Big west coast hop profile with a lot of grapefruit citrus bitterness in the aromas and flavors. Loving that. Pours a clear orange color, looks, tastes, and smells delicious. Should add this one to my regular lineup of ipas to grab from the store.

Poured with a generous foamy head. Subdued on the nose for a DIPA which carried through on the palate. Not overly bitter and definitely not cloying on the palate.

Terminus (3318) - Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA - JUL 4, 2013
Bottle-purchased at Jubilation in Albuquerque, NM July 4th 2013. Pours slightly hazy orange with 1/2 inch soapy sudsy white head. nose is somewhat non-descript-floral, pine and grapefruit notes but somewhat muddled and not very bright smelling. some household cleaner mixed in there as well. flavors start out very citric (papaya, mango yet all not very bright) with a huge wallop of grapefruit rinds. finish has a very nice note of pink grapefruit with plenty of sharp bitterness. im sure this brew is much better fresh an/or on tap but seems that this brewery always suffers here in NM by lack of prompt distribution and/or old bottles on the shelfs. overall, not a bad brew just not up there with the best in this highly competitive class.

Bottle: Golden, a bit unclear, stable rocky off-white head with a good lace, almost solid "medical" to piney hoppy nose, supported by a certain fruitiness, some bready-malty notes are also detectable; quite solid dryish bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and pretty soft; dry lingering herbal-hoppy finish with a delicate sweetish malty counterpart. Good! So far the best brew from Anderson Valley…

Smells great, with a lot of grapefruit and brown sugar. Taste is sweet, malt caramel and toffee up front, the big hop taste. Lots of grapefruit and pine resin, but also a kind of medicinal bitterness (like biting an aspirin) in there too.

Typical double IPA. Maybe a touch more malt then normal but pretty run if the mill ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
