Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

My Bottom Line:
Piney, wooden and floral hoppiness are greeted by severe alcohol in this rough Double IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam settles atop the translucent golden amber, lacing admirably all the way down.
-Mouthfeel is fluffy and almost rich.
-Alcohol heat clashes with the earthy hop bitterness.
-Malts don’t develop much in the way of flavor.

A major component of hop flavor. Major taste with a flavor of bitterness. Taste is too much on the citrus not enough malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a light orange/amber with some off-white head. Aroma is a muddled hoppiness (nothing really sticks out i.e. citrus, pine, etc.) and caramel malt. Taste is bitter citrus initially along with a little pine and then the maltiness comes into play leading to a bitter finish. Medium bodied. This beer was a disappointment and many other DIPAs are light years ahead of it.

Aroma: The nose is clean and hoppy, with grapefruit, citrus, orange rind, and some pine
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear orange color with a white head and mid-plus sticky lace
Flavor: It has a nice hopppy flavor, with lots of citrus type notes and some dank, resiny hops too
Palate: The body is medium-plus, it feels sticky, with average-plus carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I was pretty impressed by this one. There’s a really solid citrus and resin style hop profile going on here. Nice stuff. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting it to be this good.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a mostly clear, dark orange with a thin bit of white head. Aroma is mostly citrus. Orange julius and some grapefruit. Taste is light bitter and medium sweet. Citrus and loads of caramrl malt. Full bodied with a thick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, great.

The aroma is hoppy with pine and citrus hops as well as caramel malt. The appearance is light amber with a foamy head. The taste is like the aroma but astringent. The palate is smooth. Overall a decent beer but to astringent.
