Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

355ml bottle from The Wine Emporium. Big tongue numbing beer that shocks the palate with hops. Enjoyable though.

Bottle. Pine and pink grapefruit over a biscuity malt base. Yes, this one is both full of malt and of hops. Some almond partly mingling with a booziness - this spoils the whole picture a bit. The taste is sweetish, the finish warming with a surprisingly restrained bitterness. The mouthfeel is thisk and oily, yes, even fatty I would say. And this oiliness is a bit too much, as it seems to dampen the flavour. The aroma shows that both hops and malts have big potential in here but it never shows in the flavour due to the thick oiliness. Altogether it means that the beer disappoints.

Fruity notes, orange, herbal traces and pine on the aroma. The taste is fresh, with pine as the predominant note. The fruity touch is less than intense than the flavour one, predominating citrus above all of them. Bitter finish, with some apricot traces.

(bottle) pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of mango, bread dough and raisins, slightly sweaty and oxidized, with a hint of nettles, cherries and cactus juice. flavour is mostly mango and caramel, quite resinous, with a very light sweetness, some herbal hops, earth and a hint of alcohol in the light-bitter finish. heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Fat malt backbone, jamy, some pine, corn, citric, sort of stale hoppiness, alcohol. Amber colour, medium off-white head, lacing. Big bite, mid-sweet, ABV evident, potent, but not that complex. Fullbodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Does the job.

12 oz bottle, Kroger Bridge St. Pale, medium hazy orange; short-lived rocky white head. Aroma strong apricot, orange peel, pine. Flavor more bread-like, caramel, hint of vanilla. Medium-full body, lower carbonation approaching frothy. Really good.
