Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

West coast ’imperial IPA’ with medium thick, coarse, sticky and very stable head staying closed all the time, over a deep and warm orange blonde robe, clear with very little sparkling. Strong aroma of grapefruit, the white underside of fresh orange peel, mango, passion fruit, cognac, vanilla, freshly grated ginger, vermouth, rose petals, paprika, walnuts, strong old cheese (probably ageing of the hops), cumin seed. I could not stop myself from sniffing the glass. In the mouth: totally refreshing onset, a basket of exotic fruits, orange and apple, initially sharpish carbonation, slick, rounded and somewhat oily mouthfeel, honeyish sweet malts in the background, from the middle onwards overpowered by a citrussy, resinous, spicy hop bitterness, dry and very long but not too much ’bite’, very elegant and balanced and leaving just enough room for a lingering fruity sweetness and warming but very agreeable, brandy-like alcohol. An IPA of great finesse and elegance, I have fallen in love with this style a long time ago and I’m happy to find these beers are slowly but steadily penetrating the Belgian beer landscape as well.

Tap at Beer Temple, 24th October 14. Easy drinking DIPA, nicely hoped. The aroma has some pine and perfume, taste is smooth and well balanced, good one

Poured from bottle, clear amber with medium head. Strong aroma with clear notes of friut, pine and resin. Taste equally strong with a lot of bitterness, notes of citrus, herbs, honey and resin. Bitterness all the way to a long and pleasing finish.

@Yardhouse, Honolulu. Dull amber, sweet and hoppy, lots of alcihol...ok a basic iipa but w/o any nuance or brightness.

Bottle from Sterk Avondverkoop Amsterdam. I can smell malt and hop, but nothing too distinct. The flavor is not bad but the finish is a bit too bitter for my liking. Overall Double IPAs are one of my favourite styles, but this is not one of them.

Bottle at Rootz at the Harbour, Scheveningen. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head, The aroma is woody resin hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp resin nettle hop bitter light caramel palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. This beer made me sneeze so the hops are there but they are the wrong hops for me I’m afraid. It wasn’t so bad but a bit predictable from the first sniff.

Juicy citrus, tropical fruit, pine and biscuit malt on the nose. Very soft full feel, covers the abv completely. Flapr much like the aroma, mellow but flavorful at the same time. Really enjoyed this."

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2015 Świetny aromat cytrusów i słodów, przełamany, chyba ciut za mocnym alkoholem. Wygląd fantastyczny, piękna ciemnopomarańczowa barwa, piana średnia, ale wspaniale oblepiająca szkło. W smaku mocna słodowa podbudowa, nieco korzennych i żywicznych akcentów, sporo cytrusów, finisz goryczkowy z grzejącym alkoholem. Bardzo dobre IPA,
