COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

MALTS:
Pale Two-Row, Victory

HOPS:
Columbus, Chinook, Cascade

8oz sample at the Taphouse Grill. Pours pale orange with a white head. Aroma has caramel and pine, but quite faintly so. Taste is of watery caramel, some hoppiness. Finishes fairly short. Not a great choice in a place with 20 hoppy local IPAs on tap.

Good stuff. Tropical fruit juice aroma with nice sweetness. Not too much sweet just the right amount. Taste is bitter and pungent with more tropical fruit juice lots of mango. Really smooth mouthfeel just a nice IPA all around. Nothing weird or off. Cheers.

A- Pours a deep, hazy orange color with a robust, creamy, 2 finger head that sticks around for quite some time. S- Face full of hops, deep caramely malt, pine, mango. T- pine needles, deep, sticky caramel notes, huge bready malt presence, light mango, hints of peach, finished off with a sharp, piney bitterness. M- Medium/thick and resiny with ample carbonation. D- A big DIPA that amps up both the hop and malt notes. If you are into big, caramely DIPAs, you will like this one.

On tap @ Taphouse Cph. Pours light amber with small white head, fine lacings. Aroma is pine, grape fruit, honey and white bread. Taste is oranges, peaches and grape as well as plenty of hops. Full bodied and oily mouthfeel. Medium carb. - with thirst, Niklas

Nice dark crystal color wit a lot of fruity forest flavours. The taste is quite belgium flavoured but with much more hops :) As always with Anderson Valley the backside of the bottle is pretty accurate about what i think it tastes like. Copper tints, citrus aroma’s, fresh redwood needles, bitter and rich of malts and the hoppy afterflavour stays long and is great. Again a great Anderson Valley brew!

Copper color, good creamy, white and long lasting head. Pine, mango, peach in the strong, strong aroma. Strong body, alcohol amazingly masked, creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Balanced finish. Taste is complex and deep: good fresh bitter front, smooth sweet caramel and biscuit in the background.

Draught @ BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Clear amber, fine fading white head. Fairly sweet, caramel, traditional I guess. Dry hop finish, but bit middle of road.

Pours a hazy copper with a massive sticky off white head that leaves great amounts of lace. Aroma is citrus, tropical fruits, pine and a touch of sweet malt at the end. Flavour is pine, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, medium perceived bitterness that lingers a little and bit of biscuity malt flavour on the finish.

Bottle at home. High fluffy white lasting head. Hazy amber body. Dusty straw biscuit aroma. Acidic grapefruit pine flavor with a faiir amount of hops bitterness, high carbonation and a long dry and bitter finish.

Bottle from the Boulevard: Appeared as a solid golden liquid with a frothy thick head that foamed up like shaving cream. My nose is instantly gratified with a heavy dosage of floral hops that scream of citrus fruit such as grapefruit while scents of pine and sweet onion. As for the drink, an intense flavor of bitterness takes me over and puckers my mouth and face up as if I took a bite out of a lemon along with its peel. Very strong hops dominate this beer and bring out other notable taste such as lemon/lime zest, acidic grapefruit juice and touch of sweetness from the forgotten malts used.
