COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The refreshing tartness in this divine, bright golden-colored ale gives way to earthy undertones and hints of citrus followed by a slight sea salt-like dryness and tangy, effervescent finish.

From a can. Pours hazy apricot yellow with a thin, white head. Tastes salty, like yeast, cracker malt, dry white wine, grapes. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like yeast, grapes, dough, dry and fruity, faint cinnamon.

Can from Total Wine Tampa. Pours a light, clear, good color with a small white head that quickly disappears. Tart aroma that might actually finish a touch sweet like strawberries. Lemony tartness up front and then some late sea water in the long finish. Good and such a fun style.

salty, too heavy malty mouth. A bit too salty but ok. Not authentic and not sure what it is trying to be

Another one from MacBoostís Boost & Chill package (huge thanks!). Poured a yellow-golden body with a small white head. Weak aroma, cheesy and furity notes, slightly dusty, slightly funky, sweetish. Odd. Tastes like pleasant citric acid, ending in feet. Distinct bready note too. Light drinkable, slightly perfumey, the cheesy funk actually works in a way, itís kinda tasty, but not my type of Gose I guess.

Light gold, not much head, aroma is yoghurty, bit of salt, apples/pears, tart, touch of saltiness, refreshing, and lime juicy, nice balance. Really, this is how you draw up gose on the chalkboard.

On tap at Johnís Restaurant & Tavern in Winfield, IL., and shaker served, displaying a clear, golden color, with an overly abundant layer of thick, white, head foam that prompted a topping off, before gradually diminishing to a film, and removing any lacing with it. The aroma was light yeast, soft grain, and subtle apricot & citrus. With no real indication in the nose, the taste surprised with a pronounced tartness that partnered with a touch of salt to initially excite the palate. Light to medium bodied, and noting the dispensing problems, a good deal of the effervescence was probably lost in the head, as the carbonation became rather soft, and the texture a little watery. Tasted the potential, so Iíll have to try the canned version for a better opinion.

Taster size on tap @ In De Wildeman (courtesy of Simon, thanks!). Pale golden color, hazy. Dense white head. Aromaís: dusty, fruit. Retronasal itís fruity, sourish, dusty, hint of salt. Flavor is light to moderate sour, with just a pinch of salt. Light bodied. Finish is light dry, grainish, yoghurt. A bit weird, but quite nice.
