Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true! Hop Ottin' is Boontling for "hardworking hops," and they're surely hard at work in this brew. Hop Ottin' starts with a strong floral aroma, which winds into a deep and complex body. In an intriguing balance, honey-drenched malts coat rich hop undertones. At length, the hops prevail, with a satisfyingly crisp finish. Hop Ottin' bites like a cankicky bluetail (Hop Ottin' bites like a rattlesnake looking for a fight.)

Bottle: Orange hued amber, translucent, very large foamy off-white head, sticky lacing, plenty of carbonation.   Hop and citrus nose, grapefruit rind I believe.   Even some tea leaves are present.   Sharp acidic citrus at the start, followed by a hop zing.   They fade fairly quickly, leaving a very, and I mean very, subtle malt backbone.   Big body, quite flavorful, moderate to full mouthfeel.   Biting citrus lingers well after the finish, making it seem a bit rough.   Tea or tobacco leaves come out at the end as well.   Fairly good.

Pours a nice light orange amber with a perfect amount of foamy white head that lasts. Aroma is a very potent floral citrus fruit that really made me look forward to tasting it for myself. Flavor did not dissapoint! Starts with a sweet sugared oranges flavor that then blends into a hoppy bitterness and a dry citrus finish. Overall, I found this to be an excellent example of a great IPA.

Nice IPA from Anderson valley. Appearance is gold, crystal, and is capped off by a medium bodied head. Nice lacing. Nose is of herbal flowers, dark fruits, fairly hoppy, and citrus bitters. The flavor is plums, oranges, grass, herbs, and some spicy bitterness with a medium hop flavor and finish. I enjoyed this beer a lot.

Bottled. Rather hoppy and fruity aroma and flavour. Dry and bitter finish. Very sparkling. Rather thin and slightly bland.

Golden sparkling appearance with a frothy white head. the nose is citrusy with hops and the typical West coast fruity hoppiness. The body is very hoppy with nary a hint of hops, well, not enough anyway, just another average IPA.

This IPA looks pretty nice with good head retention, although not the best I’ve ever seen. The aroma isn’t that strong and is kind of grassy/herbal. The taste is better, but still has a little metallic twinge at the end which is kind of unpleasant. However, for an IPA, this is nice and hoppy, actually very hoppy. Worth a try

Smells like blueberries, really. Head not real good, but it has an extremely strong hop flavor, which is nice. Certainly a top-notch, hop-heavy beer, if you’re an IPA kind of guy. A faint metallic finsih is its only downside.

Pours a copper hue. Smells of hops and mild malt, also notes of oxidation. Hops come on strong but lack any floral complexity. This was unusally bitter for an IPA. A fruity hop flavor shows up after the swallow but lacks a real hop punch throughout this beer. . Overall a mediocre IPA. Try a Goose Island or Tyranena instead!

Poured a orange/copper hue with an off white, two finger cap. The nose was hoppy; consisting of pine needles, spruce, citrusy lemon zest, grapefruit meat and a hint of wild flowers. Beneath the hops, the malt was caramely sweet with some pleasant toastiness as well. Very nice! The taste had plenty of good things going for it as well. Hop bitterness is fairly strong and raw. The hops really shine with pine needles, spruce, grapefruit rinds, and a healthy dose of wild flowers, especially in the finish. Beneth was a stong malty backbone that created a perfect balance as it warmed. Nicely consistant from start to finish. This is a work of art.
