Not much head out of the bottle but this is very good. Good amount of Grapefruit to wake you up and nice blend of hops and malts. Nice citrusy bite included. Havenít had a good IPA in a while, I was overdue.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: FEB 28, 2006 Pours out a nice copper color with a little somewhat foamy head. The aroma is a floral/hop smell. First bottle I rated must have been an off bottle. The taste is very very clean and very nicely balanced. A very solid brew that Iíd consider for an every day beer. Thumbs up

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This is the first overrated ipa i have found. Aroma of wet grass and bad pale ale, did not enjoy. I still had hope by the look of the copperish color and the frothy head, but i was let down. The beginning taste is almost good but then it fades to a bad pale aleish taste. There where lots of hops(and i am a hophead) but the balance was just really bad.
Iím an ipa lover and i was shocked to find this rated as it was. I found this beer to be a very bad example of an ipa. It almost taste more like bitter pale ale to me. Maybe i got a bad bottle, but if not, i will never have this one again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Wonderful coppery redish orange appearance, and an ample fluffy if not terribly impressive off-white head that leaves spidery lacing. Smell is strongly of hops combined with notes of slight citrus and other fruits. Taste is more potent than anticipated by the aroma. High on the hops, whereas the citrus hinted at is barely noticed. Overall good, but could be better balanced.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smooth, golden copper in color. Creamy, thin, white head. Lattice-like lacing. Aroma is an Earthen hop bouquet - fertilizer, cardboard and wet, moldy laundry. More tropical and citric in taste than indicated by aroma. Dry hopping is prevalent. Maintains a grapefruit sweetness and a honey-vanilla essence. Nice consistency. A fine hop movement, backed with caramel malts and citric elements. Well-executed.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: SEP 26, 2006 Sampled out of the 12 ounce bottle. Poured a coppery orange color with a thick white head. The lacing was pretty nice but I have seen better. Aroma was very hoppy with citrus and graitfruit. The maltiness was lacking in the aroma and the taste. Pretty good and worth a try.

One of my favorite IPAs! I have put off rating this, I donít know why, Had again tonight, and loved it as much as ever. Very balanced, Citrus flavor, well hopped, very No.Cal. I always enjoy this beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The thing that really sets this IPA apart for me is the creamy, caramel malts that were present near the finish. They really add a nice complexity to the body. Solid IPA all around.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz - floral aroma of hops. Light amber with small head and good lacing. Taste is good but nothing special. Citrus and hops dominate. Iím a bit spoiled on the IPA front in San Diego and this comes off as mediocre. A good session brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
No directions needed to figure out where this IPA was brewed. With a citrus floral aroma, medium body, not over the top bitterness the breweryís location can only be in Northern California. Itís a vibrant IPA with seven percent alcohol content. "Proteja el ambiente no la tire" - yes, I recycled the bottle.
