Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true! Hop Ottin' is Boontling for "hardworking hops," and they're surely hard at work in this brew. Hop Ottin' starts with a strong floral aroma, which winds into a deep and complex body. In an intriguing balance, honey-drenched malts coat rich hop undertones. At length, the hops prevail, with a satisfyingly crisp finish. Hop Ottin' bites like a cankicky bluetail (Hop Ottin' bites like a rattlesnake looking for a fight.)

Clear copper/amber under a thick light khaki head with very good lacing. Plenty of hops in the aroma but not so much that it overpowered the citrus & pine notes. Well balanced flavor for a fairly aggressively hopped brew. Just enough fruity (apricots/oranges) and malty sweetness to support the hops. I thought the mouthfeel was a tad thin but I had been drinking a lot of Stone IPA lately and few other IPA’s compare well to that one in mouthfeel. Very crisp and dry finish with a nice bitter bite. Overall, a very, very solid IPA.

Bottle. Really good stuff. Floral, hoppy aroma. Medium amber color with good lacing. Great balance in the flavor - sweet malts and lots of bitter, but great tasting hops. A keeper.

Medium amber in color. Big fluffy white head made up of tiny bubbles. Aroma and flavor is all floral hops with just enough malt to balance it a little. Pretty good overall.

bottle from brickskeller. strong hop-floral aroma. pours a clear gold with decent lacing. a suprisingly balanced IPA for a west-coast brewery. very good, a very full hop character, but a rounded one.

Bottle. Coppe/amber color. Off-white colored head with thick, foamy lacing. Pleasant balance. Nice floral and slightly citric hop aroma. Tasty sweet malt flavors with tart hop bitterness and flavor. Nice.

a perfect score. every one i’ve ever consumed has brought the greatest pleasure. nice opening. oozing hop aromas. color is beautiful, deep shiny golden copper. foam is dense, isn’t going anywhere. few bubbles. rich dry malt. bitterness so bold but not harsh. is soft on the palate yet firm. thick foam clings all the way down the glass with every pull. well balanced, ever solid, perhaps the pinnacle of the style American IPA. dangerously enjoyable. commercial deScription is great, ’honey-drenched malts’, so true

Wow good stuff! Bottle poured a dark amber with a good thick head and stringy lacing. Aroma of big hops and citris. Flavor is great! Grapefruit and citris first, then the hops kicks in bitter but in a good way. The finish is a hopy bite that lays on the palate a long time. Easy drinking IPA, very, very good!!

Floral and citric hops dominate the nose. Light amber color with a medium white head.Crisp hops upfront , some grapefruit. Well blanced lightly sweet malts, finishes dry with a moderate hop bitterness. Solid IPA

Pours much darker and flatter than expected, a pure brown color. Hop aroma is modest and there is a hint that this may be skunked. The flavor is really dry and roasted, with some acidity as well - grains are almost stale. There are no indications that this beer has seen its better days, but better adays are what it could use. I’ll sample another, but this one leaves me unimpressed.
