Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true! Hop Ottin' is Boontling for "hardworking hops," and they're surely hard at work in this brew. Hop Ottin' starts with a strong floral aroma, which winds into a deep and complex body. In an intriguing balance, honey-drenched malts coat rich hop undertones. At length, the hops prevail, with a satisfyingly crisp finish. Hop Ottin' bites like a cankicky bluetail (Hop Ottin' bites like a rattlesnake looking for a fight.)

Very well balanced and drinkable IPA. The aroma totally matches the taste, where you can find dried fruits and tender bitterness.

Gutes Bier, interessant! Aber es gibt bessere IPAs.. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Big tan head .... pillow that leaves long sticky lacy all the way down the glass. Glowing orange amber with a little hop haze. Aroma is earthy with floral American hops ... still with a nice malty backbone.. not actually as hoppy as would be expected. Flavor is along the same rung ... but with a good bitterness balanced by quite a bit of caramel and toasty malts. Mouthfeel is good... descent carbonation helps break up the malt leaving a good floral hop finish.

Pours a light pale color. Aroma is malty with caramel notes not overwhelming with hops but some herbal aroma. Taste is balanced with some complexity mix between hops and caramel malt. Finish lingers not very crisp. A bit disappointing.

Pours a rather murky, golden brown, with middling head that dissipates rapidly. Lots of fruit and grassy hops in the aroma. Flavor is quite sweet, with a ton of fruit--tropical and citrus. Pretty well-balanced. Smooth finish.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 8/26/2015. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

*Old rating from 2010. Grainy smooth. Round but a bit grainy in the hops. Nice.

BOTTLE 12 OZ. Almost clear dark amber, creamy beige head. Lots of caramel in the nose, just a shadow of hops. Tastes just as sweet and malty, light fruity notes and a pretty big grassy and piney bitterness. Sticky mouth feel.

Had it from a bottle. Easy drinkability for a IPA, with the perfect amount of bitterness. Great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Amber color, white head. Appealing hoppy aroma. Bitter, hoppy flavor with orange peel. Medium-full body, medium carbonation. Nice!
