Way too dry for me. Very dehydrating and I didn't get a ton of flavor out of it

[Original Review: 2/23/09] Pours a deep amber/orange with a decent white head on top. This retained well as it hung around almost the entire time. Decent spotty lacing. No prominent rings sticking though. Smelled of tart citrus and floral hops. Some malt in the background as well.
This is an incredibly spicy and bitter IPA. Balance is non-existent. I crave bitterness in my IPA’s, but I also appreciate balance. This is peppery and bitter. I can’t place any citrus or piney backbone, just harsh scalding bitterness. Mouthfeel is crisp and firm. Decent. I really couldn’t drink more than one of these as my palate is torched. There’s definitely better, more balanced West Coast IPA’s out there.

These go down so fast that they are hard to describe. Good clean ipa with perfect hoppiness and mouthfeel. The head and lacing is ideal. highly recommend. Mine was out of cans. Top shelf ipa.

12oz can. Half-hazy amber color. Good big foamy off-white head. Good lace. Nice light and crisp carbonation. Drinkable. Hops aroma is malty sweet (wish there was a datestamp on this can), but it’s of better-quality and flavor, actually malty-sweet in a sort of enjoyable way. Mostly sweet taste, slightly oily aftertaste. Decent IPA.

Holy crap this head is THICK. I find that little is like an IPA in this beer. Not very hoppy or bitter, and a very light flavor palate to speak of.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2012 Just starting dozen 3 so I thought its time I review one. Poured out a wonderful deep amber with a solid massive light tan head with mounds of lacing. Pretty much a perfect looking beer. Excellent aroma blend of orange, caramel, mellow grapefruit, grapes, sweetness, floral, richness tied to the caramel, excellent for not being bold. Quite malty. The flavour is very well balanced. Excellent solid caramel and citrus things, other stuff and what not. Rrfg after the orangish stuff, mild pine great carbonation. Don’t really feel like breaking this down farther as I’m just going to get to drinking it.
