Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true! Hop Ottin' is Boontling for "hardworking hops," and they're surely hard at work in this brew. Hop Ottin' starts with a strong floral aroma, which winds into a deep and complex body. In an intriguing balance, honey-drenched malts coat rich hop undertones. At length, the hops prevail, with a satisfyingly crisp finish. Hop Ottin' bites like a cankicky bluetail (Hop Ottin' bites like a rattlesnake looking for a fight.)

Aroma is nice but not too strong, pours with more head than IPA style beers usually do. Golden-brown appearance and medium carbonation. A gentle first taste that evolves in to a dry, but fresh finish. A very good IPA beer.

Pours amber with two fingers of foamy head. The aroma is rather restrained with some heather flowers, elderberry, sorrels and bitter orange peel. The flavour is balanced. No showboating IPA here. Restrained but present bitterness, good complexity and quite easy drinking. Not a blockbuster, but very tasty.

Bottle. Aroma of malt sweetness, caramel, alcohol and fruitiness. Copper color with nice white head that doesn’t hold up too long. Tastes ok. Kinda one dimensional. Overall not bad IPA. I bet it tastes much better out of the keg.

Appearance: copper coloured, very nice head - leaving a small lacing during drinking. Aroma: a lot of rich herb flavours with some citrus fruit indications. Taste: this one is a hop bomb, with a lot of herbs coming out and a very nice bitter finish. Medium carbonation. Great beer.

Keg at the bat. Slightly murky copper red pour. Massive pine nose with resin. Resinous but relatively clean mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Great but not a session beer!

Produces up a cloudy, dull, tawny copper with very fine carbonation and a steady, rocky, off-white crown. Laces a tangled weave. Headily piney, pine-forest nose; resinous and sappy with licks of eucalypt, wine gums, pear drops, boozy Chenin Blanc, caramelised orange juice and a little bready yeast. Quite sharp on the palate and bitter, acrid in the finish with a mid-palate reminiscent of bready, golden syrup-dumplings. Quite yeasty as it warms further. Long, dry, raspy and weedy hop finish. Mildly astringent with a puckering white grape character almost hidden. Very light in body considering. Carbonation is moderate to soft; weakening as it heads south. Not altogether a pleasing number, so I really need a fresher sample for a comparison. Pretty average with a month or two in it! (12fl.Oz, BB 05/14, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
