COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true! Hop Ottin' is Boontling for "hardworking hops," and they're surely hard at work in this brew. Hop Ottin' starts with a strong floral aroma, which winds into a deep and complex body. In an intriguing balance, honey-drenched malts coat rich hop undertones. At length, the hops prevail, with a satisfyingly crisp finish. Hop Ottin' bites like a cankicky bluetail (Hop Ottin' bites like a rattlesnake looking for a fight.)

Keg at the bat. Slightly murky copper red pour. Massive pine nose with resin. Resinous but relatively clean mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Great but not a session beer!

ALLOVATE (2348) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 4, 2014
Produces up a cloudy, dull, tawny copper with very fine carbonation and a steady, rocky, off-white crown. Laces a tangled weave. Headily piney, pine-forest nose; resinous and sappy with licks of eucalypt, wine gums, pear drops, boozy Chenin Blanc, caramelised orange juice and a little bready yeast. Quite sharp on the palate and bitter, acrid in the finish with a mid-palate reminiscent of bready, golden syrup-dumplings. Quite yeasty as it warms further. Long, dry, raspy and weedy hop finish. Mildly astringent with a puckering white grape character almost hidden. Very light in body considering. Carbonation is moderate to soft; weakening as it heads south. Not altogether a pleasing number, so I really need a fresher sample for a comparison. Pretty average with a month or two in it! (12fl.Oz, BB 05/14, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

Bottle. Aroma is sweet, with grapefruit, resin and floral notes. Simple yet fine. It’s fullish and has an oily hoppy mouthfeel, sweetish and very bitter, yet soft at the same time. Nicely balanced, not overpowering. I’m all for it.

Poured from can a nice copper color with white head and lace. Aroma was floral and pine heavy. Taste was pine resins. Nice balance I like the pine notes because it’s a nice level of it not a punch in the face. Mouthfeel is thicker but slick. Nicely done, enjoyed.
