This beer is exceptional. Poured in a glass from a can. A nice darker golden color, yellow-orange amber and a rich complex flavor. A hop medley that has a great dry finish. Love this beer.

Bottle. Deep orange with a full head. Clear hop aroma. Flavour is fruity bitter hop, fruit, sugar and a decent bitter finish

Bottle at craft ale house shared Pours clear copper with a small white head that quickly dissipates. The aroma has light pine, grapefruit, light grass. The taste is medium bitter with an abrupt finish. Not overly flavorful but drinkable.

355ml bottle bought at Liquid Assets in Central. Cloudy hazy amber red colour with dirt-like sediments; Razor thin head and white foam which fades in 10 seconds. Small and sticky lacing with some carbonation; Strong aroma of malt and toffee (close to stout like) with very muted orange and faint mango plus plum later on when it gets warmer; Taste of light malt, strong liquorices, burnt toffee, lemon, cloves, strong glass and strong alcohol; Light body, quite slick palate, with mouth feel being dominated by bitter hops, liquorices and boozy character throughout. As its title suggests, hoppiness takes the main stage: bitterness is pronounced yet pleasant and covers the booziness partially, lingering with good finish; Quite dry after taste and quite easy to mouth for a strong IPA.
Comments: I want a serious brew to kick off my 101th review so I pick this one. It’s a full-on strong IPA and it shows - dark and brooding with sweet, expressive hoppiness and some good spicy taste. However, its fruity aroma lacks punch, an odd stout-like toffee taste, and boozy character is a bit overboard. Overall it’s a solid strong IPA, but not quite an outstanding one. Still worth a try, though.

can to glass; citrus hop aroma; nice darker amber pour. taste is strong malt with strong hop presence. i could actually drink this ipa - better than average!

Draft @ union. Half pour into a stella glass (we dont even serve it, I just like pouring good beer into them, ha!). Deep golden orange hue, big frothy white head. Nose is slight citrus and grass, fairly muted, really have to probe for smells. Medium mouthfeel, medium to high carbonation. I want rate this higher and like this more because I like this brewery and other beers from them, in reality my IPA palate is wrecked and I need more, this is on the low side of hoppiness for me. Solid beer, just no match for what others are putting out these days. Its probably really true to style and well balanced, but its not meh, its just not aces.

First Anderson valley a beer. Bottle sugguest by local beer shop cashier. Pours honey color with good head. Smells floral. Tastes floral with a hint of pine. Dry. Good ipa. Will buy again
