COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true! Hop Ottin' is Boontling for "hardworking hops," and they're surely hard at work in this brew. Hop Ottin' starts with a strong floral aroma, which winds into a deep and complex body. In an intriguing balance, honey-drenched malts coat rich hop undertones. At length, the hops prevail, with a satisfyingly crisp finish. Hop Ottin' bites like a cankicky bluetail (Hop Ottin' bites like a rattlesnake looking for a fight.)

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a semi-clear copper color. There’s about two fingers worth of off-white colored head, though the texture is a bit rougher than I prefer. The retention is solid enough, though, and good amounts of lacing are left behind. S: The hops here are mostly piny, with some lemony hints and no tropical fruits (or any other citrusy notes) anywhere. Meanwhile, its malt backbone is loaded with toffee and nuttiness. I kind of wish this was less malty and more fruity, but that’s only personal preference. T: There’s a slight opening of nutty sweetness - then boom, the hops hit. Sadly, there isn’t much hop flavor, rather it relies on grassy bitterness as a ballast toward the building caramel sweetness. There’s something past the swallow suggesting leather, and after half the bottle, becomes too malty for me. But it’s still pretty good at the end of the day. M: Carbonation pokes through the body quite strongly, and helps to dry out the finish some. It’s also quite crisp and relatively light (if somewhat sweet on the linger), so this one is pretty drinkable. O: This kind of IPA - sweetish, bitter from the hops, no citrus - isn’t my style, but this *is* well made considering that. I have trouble finding this one fresh, and it’s a bit pricier than the standard IPA 6-packs; as a result, this one isn’t on my ’must buy immediately’ list.

En canette, très agréable en ce début de soirée après une journée caniculaire .. Sur une base gentiment maltée développe une amertume rassurante et très fruitée ... Vraiment bon. A prendre par caisse entière pour cet été.

A slightly malt forward for those who like that. Aroma is certainly not my favorite part with some slight floral notes that are over powered by the malt. Taste is rich, honey, brand flakes, with some bitter hop resin. Finish is thick, sweet and juicy with a lingering brand flake taste.

Amber in appearance. Fresh hoppy aroma. Full body citrus taste. Very refreshing despite the 7% it has.

Beautiful golden/amber with a thin beige head. Nose is fruity. Taste feels grapefruit and peach, hops bitterness kicks soon and sticks til the end. A good American IPA

Bottle into snifter glass, cloudy golden-hued amber color with light tan head. Aroma notes of caramel malt, pine, citrus and light floral hops. Taste adds resin, wood and herbal/spice notes. Medium-light body, moderate-low carbonation, dry, sticky with woody/herbal bitter finish. Pretty solid west coast style, more woody/herbal than most.

Ambar anaranjada, turbia.
