Nate (2255), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 2, 2003 What a genuine surprise this beer turned out to be! The aroma was riddled with orange peel, grapefruit, and apricot nectar combined gracefully with the sweetness of buckwheat honey. I couldn't stop sniffing this stuff. Off-white huge foamy, persistent head that left lace all the way down. Reddish-amber color. Medium carb with heavy watery-thick body. Very palatable. Sweet up front - a bit cloying. Can taste some alcohol. Nice hops profile, big bitter finish and after and some sweetness. Not quite as good as Stone in taste. However, since I can get this more easily than Stone, this has become my favorite available IPA.

Pours amber with long lasting head with a strong hop aroma. Flavors include grapefruit and sweet malt. oh6gdx (6343), Vaasa, Finland Sep 30, 2008 Bottled@SBWF2008. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is hops, grass, fruits and some mild wooden notes. Flavour is fruity and flowery hops along with some wooden and nectary notes. Also some mild grainyness in the finish. hirigalzkar (53), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 28, 2008 Sample @ Stockholm Beer Festival 2008. Bitter grapefruit dominates the aroma aswell as the flavor. Indulgence (124), Ajo, Arizona, USA Sep 26, 2008 A simple brew with lots of hop bitterness, but well constructed from that stand point. It is a pretty singular bitter brew, a lot of hop bittering on the finish, some malts but hardly noticeable. Amber in color, with a strong lacing, clean palate, and bittery asparin like finish. bellmyer (14), EAST MOLINE, Illinois, USA Sep 25, 2008 Bottle from the Liquor Box. Good aroma, smells of fruity hops. Color is a surprisingly clear orange with lots of carbonation. Nice head, good lacing. Flavor is mostly hops, and some sweet malts. Mouthfeel is also solid, and it leaves a nice coating that you can taste afterwards. 7% is well hidden and it’s a solid brew.
