cheapdark (1558), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 12, 2007 On tap at the Mad Mex in Robinson. Why do I continue to torture myself with IPA? I am not purposefully attempting to make IPA lovers angry! I just want to taste every possible beer out there Not a whole lotta aroma. Pour is slightly darker than and hazy compared to the norm. You can barely tell it is gonna be an IPA. Same old pale yellow american beer colors. Big hoppy flavor impact, it is funny how so many of these beers come across with the same initial impressions. Bitter back of the throat grapefruit rind experiences. Medicinal qualities that just will not quit. Get ready to pucker your mouth. I thought that hops were to used as a preservative but now it is desirable. Finish is lasting and lingers for at least a half hour afterwards. Gimmie a glass of water.
zappafan99 (319), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Sep 3, 2008 Taste 9/8 bottle(date?) Looks:Amber/copper with nice clingy foam Aroma:Mix of various hops and some nice sweet malt. Floral, soapy, pine. Taste:Medium bodied, full range of hops . Good malt balance. Not alcoholic. Quite good. arondee (64), USA Aug 24, 2008 Poured a tan/orange color with a fluffy white head. Honey malt, and floral scents in the aroma. It’s bitter but not overly. Better than most IPA’s but it might be a little bitter for some people. DuffMan (1939), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Aug 24, 2008 Clear orange amber, orange-kissed puffy head. resinus hop aroma, citrus oils, sweet. sweet caramel malt platform with a mostly resinous, but also fruity hop character. Finish is long and bitter. 1010 (21), Marysville, Ohio, USA Aug 23, 2008 Pours a light tan color with a small white head. Has a hoppy aroma and taste, but not many layers. Would probably pass this up for other IPAs mabel (1633), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2008 [1605-20080816] 355mL bottle. Aroma has a bit of citrus sweet lemon peel.
