ElGaucho56 (353), USA Mar 17, 2008 Pours a deeper shade of amber with decent one finger head and intense lacing. Nose is pleasantly enticing, with citrus hops balanced nicely with pastry-sweet malts. A slight metallic tinge on the palate is quickly swept away by rich berries, orange juice, and a pleasant mild funky hop finish. Another solid release from this intriguing brewery.
Bigmmartin (126), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Darkish orange color with a thick head that leaves a ton of lacing. Has a deep sweet malt aroma accented by some flowery hops. The flavor is also very malty, more so than most IPAs...but you can still definitely taste the hops. One of the maltiest IPAs I’ve had, but it is still balanced out by a bitter hop finish. Interesting beer. HoppyGuy (75), USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice mahogany/orange color with a full off-white head. Aroma is of pine and hops with some citrus. Plenty of hops in the flavor, but a nice presence of malt to balance the act. A very good beer with great character. I’d like to pair this brew with pan fried trout, mixed greens and wild rice. blutt59 (501), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 11, 2008 bottle, good crisp malty pine nose, orange color with soapy head, flavors of grapefruit and sugar cookies, nice bitter malt finish Beerman6686 (536), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 11, 2008 Poured a pretty clear orange color with an off white head. aroma was of some citrusy hops and a maltiness also. Flavor was a nice and smooth hoppy flavor but balanced very well. Nice non overbearing IPA. sunevdj (1346), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 9, 2008 Bottle from Ledgers Liquor San Fransisco. Pours an almost clear amber with a yellowish frothy head and lacings. Lots of bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Quite floral in the beginning but has lots of grapefruit towards the end and in the finish. Medium bodied. Medium to high carbonation. Good.
