Poured a slightly hazy copper color with a 1/2 inch lightly tan head. There was a nice citrus hop aroma. The initial taste was of a hop bite, nice but not too overpowering. I didn’t detect much sweetness at all in the taste. The finish was more bitter and lasted on the palate awhile. The bitterness was not too extreme as to not enjoy.

Aug 17, 2008 Never rated way back when. Had tonight again. Nothing like the Pliny from last night, but decent bitterness and hops. Not intense. But when Anderson Valley is a regular thing here in Missouri soon, it can serve as a session beer.

Aug 13, 2008 Bottle.This beer started with really bad impression after first smell and sip. But with every next sip it was rising in me. I don’t like head in it. Not pleasant in aroma and touch. Beer is yellow-brownish. Aroma is hoppy as hell. Flavour is of citrus and extremely dry and hoppy finish. After all - really pleasant beer to me :)

Aug 11, 2008 12oz bottle from Total Wine, Durham. This beer remains a pleasure to me, not just because it was one of my early craft beer faves but because I still find it a well balanced example of a Cali IPA. Nice bright orange pour with lots of carbonation. Pleasant citric aroma and a big body despite the fact that this is not the maltiest IPA.

Aug 1, 2008 On tap @ Map Room. Pours orange with a nice white head. Nice pine and grapefruit aroma and flavor. Good malt balance. Not a hop bomb by any means, and not a lot of lingering bitterness. Solid beer though.
