COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
True to its Boontling moniker, “Huge Arker” is a massive force of nature that detonates on your tongue. After primary fermentation, the beer is aged in Wild Turkey® Bourbon barrels until it fully matures. The deep mahogany color is evocative of the opulence to follow. Dark luscious aromas of burnished oak mingle with candy sugar, bourbon and hearth-baked bread. The luxurious flavors redolent of honey and molasses are intertwined with the richness of dark chocolate and the ardent warmth of alcohol, underpinned with hints of coffee, vanilla and dark fruits.
ABV from 11% to 13.5% in 2014.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours black with beige head. Big bourbon aroma. Taste is very boozy bourbon. With oak and lots of roasted malts. Too much booze. But still good.

Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours dark brown with a modest tan head and a treacle and bourbon aroma. There is a very alcoholic dark molasses flavor with a finish that burns the palate. The flavor is trumped by the alcohol.

Nearly identical barreling to the smaller oatmeal stout. Black body, everlasting fluffy brown head. Not a huge fan of wild turkey, but they did such a good job with this one. doesn’t get hot til near room temperature, where the abv rears its head. smooth chocolate, vanilla, oak and bourbon throughout. excellent sipper, though it’s price point is a bit high for a "cheap" barrel."

Bottle. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates slowly and laces slightly. Aroma has vanilla, marshmallow and coconut that meshes well with roasted malts and dark grains. Flavor starts with dark grains and bitter roasted malts and finishes with a bit of coconut and vanilla.

Huge raisins and dates, as well a coffee, caramel and molasses in the nose, as well as in the taste. Complex mix of delicious dark malt notes and bubble gum and fruitcake flavours. Whisky barrel comes across in the aftertaste -nice tan head on very dark body. Wow this is a wonderful beer.. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A resilient, considering the style, smooth, frothy crowned, two inch khaki head creates a short peninsula of lace as it settles to a solid sheet, eventually receeding to a medium ring over a black body trimmed in wide, blending amber highlights

Whiskey dipped s’mores with cola undertones delight my sweet tooth, while also offering an interplay of spice and creamy oak on a medium, moderately carbonated, oily body with a bold, warm, yet generally smooth whiskey overlay glowing deep into the drying residual, as the spirit fades, dark s’mores nuances ground, and attempt to balance with tangy spirit notes hanging on to the end

Solid intensity, mild complexities transitioning smoothly into a consistent, pure flavor profile, the spirit assertiveness was best kept in check in the fifties, becoming mildly aggressive at warmer temperatures, I think this one would do well with about two years of age

22oz bottle purchased on release, and cellared for roughly three months, served at 55° into an Orrefors Difference Porter snifter

Tap sample. Poured a hazy dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee, dark chocolate and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer.
