COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
True to its Boontling moniker, “Huge Arker” is a massive force of nature that detonates on your tongue. After primary fermentation, the beer is aged in Wild Turkey® Bourbon barrels until it fully matures. The deep mahogany color is evocative of the opulence to follow. Dark luscious aromas of burnished oak mingle with candy sugar, bourbon and hearth-baked bread. The luxurious flavors redolent of honey and molasses are intertwined with the richness of dark chocolate and the ardent warmth of alcohol, underpinned with hints of coffee, vanilla and dark fruits.
ABV from 11% to 13.5% in 2014.

On tap @ Ei8ht Ball / Bellevue KY --- Opaque black color, beige head that drops to the rim, a few lace blobs. Taste is rich toasted malt infused with dark chocolate and yeast rolls that adds bourbon alcohol warmth on the swallow. Everything drifts slowly from there to a long warm finish. Huge, chewy, complex, balanced, totally rad.

Tap at Beergeek SPb. Black with brown ring. Aroma is really tasty. A lot of rich dark chokolate, oak and vanilla, bourbon. Taste the same but too boozy. Nice dark fruits flavours. Good warm effect. I like so.

Draft at Pony Bar HK with Paul and Andrew. Pours a deep, dark brown body with no head; some minor lacing. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with notes of rich roast, lots of chocolate, marshmallows and sweet chocolate syrup. I didn’t get too much alcohol distraction on the palate either, and at nearly 14%, that’s pretty impressive. A solid offering from Anderson Valley.

A dark brown imperial stout with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light grassy hops, resinous and smooth, light alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with coffee grind, vanilla bean, molasses, alcohol warmth, resinous hops, very nice. Bottle at Cajun Café spring beer fest 2016.

Decent beer in the series. Reminds me that barrel aging a huge ABV beer doesnt make it great. Aroma was roasted malt, dark chocolate and heavy bourbon. Was a little thin. Pour was a nice deep dark brown/black with a tuin tan film for a head. Taste was good. All the flavors of a bourbon barrel aged imperial stout. Chocolate, vanilla, bourbon and notes of distant coffee. The strong alcohol hides the flaws of this beer being thin and one dimensional. Mild carbonation.

Bottled 650ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Domagoj from Pivoteka (thanks mate). Black coloured, medium sized beige head, pure bourbon in the nose. Roasted malt, heavy bourbon, wood and alcohol with notes of chocolate and cocoa powder. Tasty and excellent brew. Huge bourbon taste.

Bomber. Pours black with a brown head and aroma of strong bourbon and alcohol. Taste is full of bourbon it’s, with alcohol, dark fruits, coffee, vanilla, and chocolate leading to the warming finish.

With Z, over Indian food, pours a deep black pour with a two finger breadth Java head. Nose is deep chocolate, malt, whiskey and alcohol ! Taste is bittersweet thick chocolate malt, with alcohol and dark fruits. Finishes on the same tasting notes with a moderately long sweet chocolate whiskey ending ! Quaff Score 8 / 10

On tap at Kickbacks Jacksonville. Pours dark brown to black. Aromas of malt booze and bourbon. Taste is overwhelming bourbon with some coffee and caramel notes. Thin lacing in the glass. Thick mouth feel. Not bad but bourbon overwhelms everything else.
