A - Served a clear golden-yellow color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades slowly leaving behind some lace. S - The aroma is fill of sweet biscuit and caramel malts with some fresh citrus and tropical fruit hops. T - Starts off with some sweet caramel with some light biscuit malt and citrus and tropical hops and bitterness. Through the middle, more hop flavor and bitterness come through. The finish is a mix of hops, bitterness, and sweet malt. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a nice dry finish. D - Very drinkable. Nice malt and hop balance with a nice complexity added by the biscuit malt flavor.

Draft. Pour is dark gold with a good white head, some retention/lace. Aroma of grass, straw, light citrus, caramel. Taste is grassy hops, dry, bitter, biscuit. Palate is quite dry, oily, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Reminds me of a European take on IPA.

Clear apricot pour with a small sudsy white head. Apricot and peach nectar with hints of grassy herbals give way to caramel malt and some biscuity yeast character. Orange peel and mandarin follow. Medium body with ample carbonation and a resinous finish.

Pint – Eastside Club Tavern – Olympia, WA Aroma – Nice decent amount of hops in the nose.
Appearance – Amber in color, clear, with a thin lacey head.
Flavor – This was earth, hoppy and a good malt backing. Very citrus based in the hops.
Palate – Dry finish with a Nice Mouthfeel.
Overall – This was a good IPA. A tad light but overall drinkable. We here in the Pac NW get used to these IPA bombs and tend to grade a IPA very hard.

So this is on tap at Brouwers called Mendo Mello Estate Fresh Hop which sounds like it is this one even though there is a listing for Mendo Estate. Whatever, someone fucked up an addition of beers I would assume. Thriller is a bad ass song and a great video, and Michael Jackson(singer) was awesome when he was black. Anyways, leafy aroma, light citrus, and some grainy malts. Smells like an apa. Hazy light gold, thin head, really great lace. Medium leafy bitterness followed by pleasant citrus notes, bready grain, and fresh chewy hop flavors. Light bodied, very earthy and leafy. Sharp carbonation, light bodied. It is what it is.

Pours clear yellow-gold with a short-lived head. Aroma of peaches and sourdough. Strawberry/kiwi hop flavor. Very herbal and, well, mellow.

Tap @ O’Brien’s. Pours a lightly hazed golden color with a fain orange glow. Light hop nose with some peaches and other tree fruits. Brew was slightly sweeter than your average IPA.
