Extremely extremely unique beer. Literally every person (6) at our pairing dinner said "Wow!!!" Out loud. It has a really buttery smell. It tastes like buttered rum except whiskey with a little bit of lemon. The most unique beer I have tasted in a while if not ever. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Another great Anderson Valley beer. Pours a beautiful deep red with a grey head. Smells amazing, of buttered rum, vanilla and a bit of pumpkin. Taste is super buttery and lemon, whiskey and vanilla. Finishes boozy. Had in the bottle.

Tap: Deep brown body, cloudy. Thin khaki film spreads across the top, tiny outlining collar. Aroma is a shit sandwich. Overly sweet vanilla extract, tart redcurrant & prune, abrasive pumpkin-like spices, stale popcorn kernels, boozy butterscotch, wood, ass. Dafuq is this shit. Taste is even worst. Stale, rotten pumpkin, heavy ginger & clove to the point of being annoying, sickeningly sweet vanilla extract, far too heavy on the booze, wood, & butterscotch notes. Again with that shitty burnt popcorn flavor. This beer sucks ass. Could not take more than a few sips, absolute dumpster fire.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 22 oz bomber. Deep, chestnut brown pour, initial off-white head that fades after awhile. Aroma of Wild Turkey Bourbon, molasses and dates. Flavor is similarly profiled with a strong bourbon presence, dates, raisins, brown sugar and molasses. Wild Turkey flavor is not distracting or overwhelming and sits just right in this on. It also helps that wild Turkey is one of my favorite bourbons, Nice, thick rich mouthfeel. Usually not crazy about BAs, but this one sits just right.

Decent beer, light pumpkin spice in the nose. Dominated by sweetness in taste. Very little impact from the barrel aging. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to tulip Pumpkin, clove, mace, booze, and cookies. Deep red, creamy thin light tan head with a few white spots. Taste is pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, and bourbon.

(bottle - 22 oz) Dark orange pour with a thin white head. Pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, bourbon and caramel in the aroma. Flavor is a lot of caramel and sweetness of the pumpkin pie spice with a hint of bourbon and a rather dry finish.

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2014 On tap: The aroma consists of moderate butterscotch, butter, brown sugar, and light spice. It’s a dark brown with some orange highlights and a small off-white head that quickly fades to a thick ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy butterscotch, butter, and brown sugar. The finish has bourbon, mint, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. It’s medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Overall, something clearly went wrong here.

Pours the deepest amber-prune into the glass, with a fully diminished head that leaves no lacing of which to speak. The nose is of sourdough, which also dominates the yeast-induced flavor. There is a hint of pumpkin and very light pie spices to finish, along with just a kiss of bourbon to end the pull. Medium-bodied and very smooth to the palate, hiding the ABV perfectly. It’s nice, just not nearly as good as their traditional pumpkin offering, which I thought would have provided a better base to build off of.
