Bottle into snifter. Aroma is butterscotch, bourbon, some light vanilla, pumpkin spices. Pours a dark brown, tan head. Flavor is butterscotch, sweet lingering notes of bourbon and pumpkin. Overall it’s pretty good and for $1.00 a bomber, it can’t be beat!!

Draft, snifter. Dark purple-brown with a silky cocoa powder head. Good clarity. Aroma is smooth but mild -- spiceless pumpkin pie, a hint of chocolatey roast, sweet red grape. It gets much more pronounced, pleasant and oaky as the beer warms, adding notes of nutmeg and vanilla. The carbonation is higher than what I’d like for a beer like this: pinching, fizzy. Flavor displays a little pumpkin purée up front, but it quickly gives way to massive corny bourbon flavor. Basically tastes like a pumpkin version of their Wild Turkey stout -- thin body, big bourbon flavor, very little booze burn.

Bottle. Pours hazy reddish burnt umber, medium tan head, dissipates fairly slowly, good lacing. Aroma is butterscotch, candy, vanilla, cinnamon. Flavor is medium plus sweet, light bitter, candy, spices, butterscotch and vanilla. Medium body.

22oz bottle 4/12/15 (Binny’s Downers Grove)-38° in Shaker-Pours a dark orangish amber with a decent off white head. Aroma of pumpkin, spices, and bourbon. Taste of the same with some caramel coming in. This medium bodied brew is not bad as I was expecting more as it being barrel aged.

Bomber. Orange brown with a huge beige head. Whiskey, tart apple, butterscotch, nutmeg and gourd. Tastes sweet, lightly tart and finishes dry. Foamy feel with a medium body. I had high hopes of the perfect fall/thanksgiving beer and it’s not that, but it’s not terrible either- just a little weird.

Bottle, shared with phantomhennes, heavylaevy, and TvM. Dark orange amber. Bourbon and pumpkin, sweet caramel malts and fall spices make for quite a sweet drinking experience. Not bad but glad I shared it.

On tap at beermongers. Pours a dark red brown color with a small white head. A big spicy pumpkin nose. Sugary, odd alcohol flavor, pumpkin, spices, malty sugary base. Ok.

Bottle... Pours hazy and brown with copper highlights and a mid-sized, creamy, cappuccino head. Good retention. The aroma is malty and spicy - caramel, buttery toffee, brown-sugar crystals and lots of holiday spice-rack goodies and a modest lactic acid component that leads to a dead end as far as possible infection goes. Nothing else here is off. Full-bodied and lightly oily with airy carbonation. The flavor is mildly sweet and super malty with minerals and mild, balancing, crusty bitterness with soft tannins. I’m getting no Wild turkey or any other bourbon here. There are also some nice toffee, vanilla and caramel notes. Finishes with lightly sweet toffee, vanilla and minerals.

Bomber. Buttered rum aroma with light notes of pumpkin, pumpkin pie spices and vanilla. Pours cloudy, amber colored with a thin tan head with decent retention and very little lacing. Starts with the buttered rum flavor and light vanilla notes. Finishes smooth with good pumpkin and clove flavors. Interesting brew.

Extremely extremely unique beer. Literally every person (6) at our pairing dinner said "Wow!!!" Out loud. It has a really buttery smell. It tastes like buttered rum except whiskey with a little bit of lemon. The most unique beer I have tasted in a while if not ever. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
