COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Poleeko Pale Ale is an exceptionally flavorful and well-balanced beer. With a bright, citrus hop profile and mild malt flavors reminiscent of English biscuits, the aromas of pink grapefruit and lemon zest compliment the brisk, balanced finish to create a truly refined American Pale Ale.

MALTS: Pale Two-Row, Crystal (40L)
HOPS: Columbus, Nugget, Cascade

Note: Formerly Poleeko Gold Pale Ale.

Golden orange with small head. A: quite a bitter sensation, some (caramalized) malts, sour prune (fresh), some citrus and grass notes. Yeast deposit reveals more fruitiness, banana. T: fresh, crisp, and not as bitter as expected. Start is fresh, little sour touch, lemons. After yeast deposit, it becomes a lot more fruity (with peach and orange notes),more rounded, and even a bit creamy. Development: bitterness starts to swell, some wood notes, peppery. Aftertaste is midly bitter, with wood notes.

Bontus (695) - Flanders, BELGIUM - JUN 10, 2015
Bottle, 355ml. Thanks for bringing this Albert Heijn. Pours hazy golden, more yelow. Frothy bubbly white head. Persistent. Biscuit & zest nose, very fine. Balanced aroma’s of some light malt backbone, bread like. And citrussy hops, but no myrcene bombs. More piny, finish is long bitter. Almost too harsh for this type. Great choice on a summer day.

Very good, dense & stable lightly yellowish head, over near-clear orange-golden beer. Mild citrus, fresh grain, USA hops, appetizing nose. Bitter and grainy - talk about perfect balance! Again citrus, some exotic fruit, grapefruit. Quite spritzy feel, more carbonated than it looks; slick, feels rather well-bodied without appearing heavy. The commercial blurb above might be the closest to the truth I’ve ever read. It mirrors exactly my impressions.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden beer with a medium sized, stable white head on top. Aroma is very citric, hoppy, West Coast styled with a nice, subtle malty touch in it as well. Flavor is mildly bitter and citric, some lemon and a very faint, malty aftertaste. Soft carbonation and short aftertaste. Good session ale, nothing more nothing less.

Pours a small frothy white head that slowly but almost fully diminishes. Body is hazy yellow, sparkles are visible. Aroma contains moderate malts (dark bread, cookie,) moderate hops (resin, flowers, citrus fruits, hay), light yeasts (leather, earth) and forest fruits, apple and pear. Flavor is light acidic, then light acidic, light sweet and light bitter and finishing in bitter. Body is light to medium with watery texture and soft carbonation. Not for me, really. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gelb-orange leicht opal mit wenig weißem Schaum. Geruch fruchtig, bitter, aber auch etwas muffig rostig. Geschmacklich wird die Fruchtigkeit leider auch durch einen muffigen Beigeschmack getrübt.
