COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Poleeko Pale Ale is an exceptionally flavorful and well-balanced beer. With a bright, citrus hop profile and mild malt flavors reminiscent of English biscuits, the aromas of pink grapefruit and lemon zest compliment the brisk, balanced finish to create a truly refined American Pale Ale.

MALTS: Pale Two-Row, Crystal (40L)
HOPS: Columbus, Nugget, Cascade

Note: Formerly Poleeko Gold Pale Ale.

Bottle. Deep golden color with small head. Light citrusy and floral aroma. Also the flavor is light with malt, citrus, orange and some sweetness. Citrus, malt and some bitterness in the finish. This bottle has some symptoms of oxidation.

Bottled. Hazy light copper color with a white head. Aroma of honey and dirty feet- I’m not kidding! Rather middle of the road flavor, more on the malty side. I cannot drink it however since I can’t get it to my mouth without smelling it. I will have to re-rate this beer, this (I Hope) may be a bad bottle. I’d never expected to Anderson Valley to make something like this.

pinkzambia (1618) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 17, 2006
Bottle: Almost cloudy, gold color with a small white fizzy head. Sweet hoppy aroma as well as a "sweet" hoppy taste. Creamy feel with a lingering bitter trailer of mild juniper berries and soap. I like this one -- not my favorite pale ale, but quite drinkable.

IndianaRed (2768) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 17, 2006
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2006 Bottle Pours a very pale slightly hazy golden color with a nice puffy white head. Lots of sturdy lacing. Full malty aroma, sweet with honey and bread notes. Flavor was hoppier than I expected more of the styles Indian brethren. Soft carbonation and a nice full feel. Dry bitter bite at the end.

I cant believe I forgot to rate this years ago. While looking at Brother Davids stuff, I noticed this one was unrated. I have been drinking this for years. Orange colored, smells sweet and hoppy. Taste is the same, an average APA but something that is readily avaliable and drinkable.

A hazy orange beer with a light orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of fruits and raspberries. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of oranges. The body is a bit thin.

12 oz bottle. didnt bother to pour it out of the bottle. fruity and hoppy nose. taste is smooth, a bit hoppy, but mainly just smooth. not a huge fan of apa’s but this one is easy drinking and i have come to appreciate the easy drinking beer once again. quite quaffable, but not terribly exciting.

12oz, bottle, no date. Pours a light golden with a small white head. Aroma of big floral and pine hops and caramel malts. light sweet biscuity maltiness. Not too bitter at all, pretty well balanced with a sweet finish. Otherwise, aroma follows taste. Light to medium bodied. Pretty decent APA. Best I’ve had today, anyway.
