COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Poleeko Pale Ale is an exceptionally flavorful and well-balanced beer. With a bright, citrus hop profile and mild malt flavors reminiscent of English biscuits, the aromas of pink grapefruit and lemon zest compliment the brisk, balanced finish to create a truly refined American Pale Ale.

MALTS: Pale Two-Row, Crystal (40L)
HOPS: Columbus, Nugget, Cascade

Note: Formerly Poleeko Gold Pale Ale.

Bottle. Rating #200 -An Anderson rated by an Anderson. Raw orange gold, translicent, with a film-head. Smells vaguely citrus, very ripe, some malt-spice notes. Immediate impression is of dryness, crispness, hop and malt detectable, not sticky or even really sweet at all unlike many APAs I’ve had recently. It’s a refreshing change of pace even though I like a hint of sugar. This is as a result more notably bitter, but not in a bad way, more like a fresh unsweetened grapefruit. medium to light bodied and drinkable, this would be excellent on a hot summer day. Grapefruit finish. Not bad, although because these people are Andersons, I expected this to be the best beer ever. Oh well.

Light yellow fine beaded head. Aroma is heavy berries and floral. Nice dry hopping. Flavor is dominated by hops, starting citrus piney and fading quickly to flowers and berries. Smooth and crisp with a long lingering bitter. Very drinkable.

A bit creamy for my liking. Not as much hops as I like. Quite surprised that I disliked this one.

12 oz bottle imbibed in a hotel room in Sandusky, OH. Clear gold with a thick, fluffy head and nice lacing...lovely biscuity-citrusy aroma with some interesting green tea notes--like spicy cookies...creamy body, honeyish, lightly fruity, turning quite dry and crisp to finish...full but not heavy mouthfeel with perfect carbonation....pretty damn good.

Pours a medium golden yellow with a small white head. Aromas of hops, citrus, and malts. Flavors of hops, and hops. Nice clean crisp finish.

Bottle (12oz). Poured slightly hazy yellow with a small fizzy head. Aroma of mild resiny rich hops, tangy lemon juice, light roast malt and rye toast. Taste is of UK funky hops, light roast malt, orange pekoe tea, orange juice and a long pungent bitter finish. Mouthfeel dry with an average body - nice session pint - really liked this, good blend of UK ESB and west coast PA styles.

I am wondering if this bottle was past its prime. Aroma was mild, but i picked up typical citrus hops. Pours golden, with white fizzy head. Flavor is dry, grassy, and I picked up some skunk. Texture is a tad watery. Finish is also dry with a crisp hoppy finish. This did not impress me much, but I want to get a fresh bottle since I got this in a mix a six, which usually means "clearance, this crap has been here too long"

Poured a pale effervescent amber with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma of bitter citrus hops, clean though simple. Taste is light bitter citrus hops, touch of grass with a hint of toffee and caramel in the background. Nothing especially complex but just nicely balanced, hoppy and drinkable.

This brew just slams you over the head with it’s heavy floral aroma. Tons of carbonation....couldn’t pour even a couple of ounces without overflowing a twelve ounce glass. The taste is a little sour on the front end, then sweet on the finish. Crisp and dry.....overall, very nice

Bottled, at the East End Brewery, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Cloudy golden colour, clinging white head. Generous hop aroma this beer was on the money. This is what the Aldrich Bay Pale Ale should have tasted like. Dry, hoppy flavour was crisp and refreshing. A little strong then I would have perhaps liked (being a one man drinking band) but very nice indeed.
