4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Farm fresh grassy and pine aroma. Clear light golden in color. Crispy, leafy hop flavor - very tangy and citric. Lingers nicely. Light in body and tingly on the tongue. This beer is a pale ale winner.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Soft golden color with a creamy thick white head that left a wall of "lace" on the opposite side of the glass from which I was drinking. Aromas of flight citrus (tangerine), and some pine. Not overwhelming, though. Smooth carbonation, with light bicuit malt backing upfront, bright hoppy flavors. Clean finish that leaves a slight hint of citrus. Great session brew. Cheers, to those cats in Boontville!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours deep gold with a big, creamy, white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, malt. Tastes hoppy, malty, with citrus and slight dryness at the finish. Some wheaty flavor here, and a pretty firm mouthfeel. Good hop and citrus presence also.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours with a large, frothy head, the body has a slightly cloudy appearance; aroma is grassy and flowery; fairly dry and light, with a lingering aftertaste.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Golden color with a small head. Aroma is very faint but floral. Very thin tasting and light flavor. Next time I’ll reach for the Hop Ottin over this one. This seemed to be more of a blonde ale than an APA.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2004 (22-ounce bottle, $3) Nothing all that special here; A lighter flavored pale ale with a mild malt flavor that is somewhat dominated by a moderate bitterness from the fresh tasting hops; This really needs a more robust maltiness; It's also mildly sour, but like grapefruit, so it's not a bad sour; The fairly dry palate is medium bodied but perhaps just a tad thin; The nose is moderately hoppy but there's little else going on; Light golden in color and somewhat cloudy; The head is off-white in color, has solid retention, and leaves a fair amount of patchy lacing

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. A hazy golden color with a slightly diminished white head. The aroma was that of a typical pale ale - slightly fruity. The flavor was not hoppy like a typical pale, but dominated by a lemony bite. This is a unique beer that made an impression on me. Excellent.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. A light pale ale. Nice balance, soft lychee and grapefruit, pretty swiggable, innofensive, if not overly interesting.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
This is just a regular old pale ale. Pours solid gold with a nice, large, and lasting head, Light and dryer than some other pale ales, still not anything too special.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice brew. Pours a deep gold with a white head and little floaties. Aroma is floral. Taste is lightly malty, floral with grapefruit, sweet citrus flavors and a good hop presence. Mouthfeel is full, round and light at the same time. Leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste. Very satisfying, easy drinking brew. Recommended American pale.
