Poleeko Pale Ale is an exceptionally flavorful and well-balanced beer. With a bright, citrus hop profile and mild malt flavors reminiscent of English biscuits, the aromas of pink grapefruit and lemon zest compliment the brisk, balanced finish to create a truly refined American Pale Ale.

MALTS: Pale Two-Row, Crystal (40L)
HOPS: Columbus, Nugget, Cascade

Note: Formerly Poleeko Gold Pale Ale.

Hazy reddish honey color; small, quickly dissapating head. Light citrus hop aroma, backed by a hint of sweet wine. Flavor is sweet and lightly malty, though rather watery. Dry, grassy hops. Drinkable but nothing special

Bottle. Pours hazy amber-gold with a small white head that diminishes mostly and leaves a trace of lacing. Pleasing aroma, with light caramelly malt sweetess and fresh hop citrus notes. Nice balanced flavor with a good hop bite. Light to medium body and crispy carbonation. Not a great pale ale but good with the potential to be a nice session brew.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2005 Pours a very pale gold color with not much of a head to brag about. Nice clean fresh aroma of citrus. Flavor is great as are all Anderson valley beers that I have had. I could have done without the metalic finish that this one had though.

Had this on tap at Bukowski’s in Cambridge, MA. Was not impressed with the $5.75 price tag for this when I got the bill. Ahem, anyways, a very strong aroma for a beer poured in to a shaker and served in a bar. Strong honey, herbal notes, citrus hops, hints of apricots and pears even. Looks similar to the pour on the picture to the left, deep gold with a big white head, mostly clear. Flavor starts and ends hoppy, with a dry pils-like malt mixed with just some plain old base malt. Still, well-constructed, no flaws, as usual with this brewery. A very straightforward APA. Medium body, crisp, hoppy, moderate tingly carbonation.

Golden-brown, honey-like color with a medium-thick, white head. Smells of citrus lemon and pineapple - refreshingly fruity. Taste is all hops, grassy, pinecones and pineapple. Lots of carbonation and biting tongue flavors. Solid beer, malt is a bit watery.

Pours a pale golden color. Aroma is sweet and fruity with a slighty hoppy presence. Flavor is dominated by hops. Somewhat piney and citric as well. Also has a hint of sweetness. Very drinkable brew.

Aroma is faint and dull. Light yellow/light orange hue with a small cloudy haze and absoutely no head. This taste very flat to me and only flavor im getting is a cold flat bitterness across my tongue. Must be a old pint. Will re-rate later. Now if only i could find a place that still carries it.
