COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Poleeko Pale Ale is an exceptionally flavorful and well-balanced beer. With a bright, citrus hop profile and mild malt flavors reminiscent of English biscuits, the aromas of pink grapefruit and lemon zest compliment the brisk, balanced finish to create a truly refined American Pale Ale.

MALTS: Pale Two-Row, Crystal (40L)
HOPS: Columbus, Nugget, Cascade

Note: Formerly Poleeko Gold Pale Ale.

Golden color with a small head. Aroma is very faint but floral. Very thin tasting and light flavor. Next time I’ll reach for the Hop Ottin over this one. This seemed to be more of a blonde ale than an APA.

Has a cloudy golden color and a hoppy smell. Taste is like an IPA to me with a funny almost medicene aftertaste. Overall I did not like this too much because of the aftertaste...

Eh.....not much to say about this one. Some hops in the aroma, followed by some malt. Flavor is a decent balance of hops and malt. The hop component of this was muddled.

partially hazed, agressively carbonated golden body with a soft dense white head. pale malts underlie a prevalent hop character. Minty, fruity and spicy: must be Mt Hoods and/or Cascades. initially sweet and malty giving way to a citrucy hop character terminating in a harmonious blending of toasty caramel and pale malts with resinous dry, bitter hoppiness. not bad, an easy drinking APA. some breadiness and oily bitterness later on.

Pours a clear straw golden color with a medium sized white head. Aroma of grass, malts, and light lemon. Flavor of pale malt, grass and honey. A bit of bitterness at the finish.

jmuhops (669) - Winchester, Virginia, USA - FEB 28, 2006
Pours amber-gold with a dense, two-finger head. Citrusy and piney aroma with some underlying caramel-ish malt. Flavor begins acridly bitter and sharp. After it mellows, it’s an inoffensive, fairly well-balanced APA. But, like a James Joyce novel, it’s hard to get past the beginning.

Bottle @ Torben Mathews Tasting.Pours clear yellow with fizzy white head. Aroma is light malty, brown sugar, light citric and metallic. Taste is medium sweet. Body is watery with fizzy carbonation. Finish is too short.

Decent amount of malt flavor, but light on the hops. Not much of a pale ale.

12 oz bottle - Pours a cloudy orange with a decent white head. Aroma of grapefruit, flowers and a light pine are backed malty scents. Taste is caramel malt up front with grapefruit, floral and faint piny hops - picked up a bit of a soapy aftertaste though. Medium-bodied.
