Poleeko Pale Ale is an exceptionally flavorful and well-balanced beer. With a bright, citrus hop profile and mild malt flavors reminiscent of English biscuits, the aromas of pink grapefruit and lemon zest compliment the brisk, balanced finish to create a truly refined American Pale Ale.

MALTS: Pale Two-Row, Crystal (40L)
HOPS: Columbus, Nugget, Cascade

Note: Formerly Poleeko Gold Pale Ale.

22 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma is very malt-forward with lots of chewiness and some caramel hints. Some Honey Nut Cheerios are also in there. Where are the hops? Transparent dark golden body with a creamy off-yellow head present. Starts with grassy hoppiness and some more chewy toastiness and some more cereal notes. Herbal, lightly spicy hop bitterness to finish. This is decent for the style, but nothing to write home about.

Clear golden beer, big fluffy white head, pretty nice lacing. Nose is very citric and hoppy, caramel, grapefruit, pine. Flavor is caramel, toasty malt, berry notes and lots of fruit, some bubblegum. Lingering bubblegum and berries, hops. Not bad at all.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Aroma of grain, pale malt and grass. Flavour of cereal and a crisp hop bite. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Light fizz. A bit grainy and watery.

Actually an IPA that I enjoy. It has something smooth. Nectar like texture and feel. Mild IPA hop but sent and fruity too.

Golden orange with small head. A: quite a bitter sensation, some (caramalized) malts, sour prune (fresh), some citrus and grass notes. Yeast deposit reveals more fruitiness, banana. T: fresh, crisp, and not as bitter as expected. Start is fresh, little sour touch, lemons. After yeast deposit, it becomes a lot more fruity (with peach and orange notes),more rounded, and even a bit creamy. Development: bitterness starts to swell, some wood notes, peppery. Aftertaste is midly bitter, with wood notes.

Bontus (689) - Flanders, BELGIUM - JUN 10, 2015
Bottle, 355ml. Thanks for bringing this Albert Heijn. Pours hazy golden, more yelow. Frothy bubbly white head. Persistent. Biscuit & zest nose, very fine. Balanced aroma’s of some light malt backbone, bread like. And citrussy hops, but no myrcene bombs. More piny, finish is long bitter. Almost too harsh for this type. Great choice on a summer day.
