Gold, indeed, with a big white head resting seductively atop the brew. Light pineapple scent. When you take a drink, there is a nice abbrasive bitterness that runs throughout. Upfront, the sweetness is strong with the bitterness in the background. But the roles seem to reverse in the end with the bitterness taking over. At first drink I thought this just seemed watered down. Then I began to appreciate how delicately delightfull it was. Not as hit-you-over-the-head-with-a-bunch-of-hops assertive as other pales. Wonderful nonetheless.

Pretty cloudy orange-yellow and not much aroma. The taste is just slightly bitter and hoppy. A little thin in the middle. A nice dry finish. Some maltiness at the end that I don’t like.

Bottle: Poured a hazy deep yellow color ale with a huge bubbly white head with better then average retention. Aroma of grassy floral hops is clearly detectable and really enjoyable. Taste is incredibly grassy with nice floral undertone and a medium bitter finish. I thought this was a well balance mix between the grassy, sweet malt and light bitter finish. Definitely something I would track down again.

12oz bottle. Sticky white film for a head. Aroma of Mt. Hood??? Some hope spice is the main component, then some doughy, floury malt...reminds me of a good lafer aroma. Drinks w/ a bit of melon and well-done toast. Nice body w/ plenty of malt and a good dose of hop spice--which seems to hint noble to me. Winds up terrifficly hoppy at the end. An expensive, but delecious beer. Seems like a hopped-up kolsch.

Very pleasant beer to drink in a social setting when only 2-3 beers can be consumed. Might be too sweet for "massive consumption" !

12oz bottle. Golden color, white foam. Aroma of hops, nice citrus, pine; malt character has a good amount of honey and pale malts. Pale malt, tastes of honey. Sharp hop bite makes this beer SOOO DELICIOUS. Finishes with loads of spruce and grapefruit. I could drink this brew all day long! (3346)

bottle. Pours a hazy light orange color, thick foamy inch of head, enough active carbonation to keep it around. Muted, bready aroma, some light sweetness, and some faint floral hop notes. Flavor shows some light spiciness, smooth sweet biscuits, and some crisp citrus. Flavor shows much improvement over the nose. Palate is also good- light, crisp, and clean. Overall, a pretty good pale with superb drinkability.
