Poleeko Pale Ale is an exceptionally flavorful and well-balanced beer. With a bright, citrus hop profile and mild malt flavors reminiscent of English biscuits, the aromas of pink grapefruit and lemon zest compliment the brisk, balanced finish to create a truly refined American Pale Ale.

MALTS: Pale Two-Row, Crystal (40L)
HOPS: Columbus, Nugget, Cascade

Note: Formerly Poleeko Gold Pale Ale.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a massive lasting white head. Nice lacing. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt and mild citrus hops. Flavour’s quite mild and a little watery -- I’d also prefer it a little hoppier. Light to medium bodied. I much prefer the Hop Ottin’ but for a Pale Ale this was O.K.

Pours amber-gold with a dense, two-finger head. Citrusy and piney aroma with some underlying caramel-ish malt. Flavor begins acridly bitter and sharp. After it mellows, it’s an inoffensive, fairly well-balanced APA. But, like a James Joyce novel, it’s hard to get past the beginning.

Bottle. Deep golden color with small head. Light citrusy and floral aroma. Also the flavor is light with malt, citrus, orange and some sweetness. Citrus, malt and some bitterness in the finish. This bottle has some symptoms of oxidation.

via trade with IrishBoy - Pours a golden color with a small off white head. Aroma has a light grassy, earthy hop scent. The flavor is slightly bitter with a little grassy, citrus hop flavor. Light to medium body. Worth a try. Thanks Richard.

Bottle. Amber with a mostly diminishing head. Some tiny spots of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with some citrusy hops and leather. Basically a biscuity malt flavor with some hop backing. Thin, slightly watery and fizzy palate. Overall not bad, and would make a decent session beer, but I’m not particularly impressed with this one, especially given the superior Boont amber ale and Hop Ottin IPA offerings of the same brewer.

This is a nice looking beer and is Pennzoil colored. There is a small white foam and plenty of carbonation. Aroma is hoppy featuring tart fruit and some florals. There is a nice little bite to the flavor as the hops dominate. A slow forming aftertaste can be found and it is slightly bitter. The fruit is strongly grapefruit. I kept wondering when the malt would show up and it finally made an appearance when the glass was almost empty. It adds a caramel aspect to the beer. Throughout the beer was dry and crisp.

yellow color on the pour, transparent with a thin and somewhat disappointing head. Slightly hoppy aroma, mostly lighter malts and pepper. Just your average pale ale flavor, with the background citrus and bitter finish, but very subdued dry alcohol end. Good thirst quencher, nothing special by any means.
