Sigmund (1896), Hafrsfjord, Norway Aug 18, 2008 Bottle, at the GBBF 2008. Golden colour, moderate head. Very nice hoppy aroma, notes of citrus and tropical fruits. Pleasant hoppy flavour but not overdone, well balanced. hughie (2150), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Aug 9, 2008 Bottle at GBBF ’08. Gold. Sweet nettly aroma. Lots of fizz but low on taste. A little bitterness. Rather an improbable beer. Improbable? That’s what I wrote, and I don’t now really understand what I meant, though it seemed perfectly clear at the time. KimJohansen (3026), Copenhagen V, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 Clear golden with medium white head. Sweet aroma with hoppy and piney notes. Sweet and hoppy flavor with caramel, citrus and piney notes. Ends bitter. boFNjackson (502), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 25, 2008 Bottle... Poured vibrant, orange with a big, white head that stayed on the surface of the beer for the whole drink. Aroma is spicy with some hops and yeast. Palate swarmed the mouth with great floral hop flavors and earthy grains and malt. Really tasty brew. esjaygee (721), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 14, 2008 Hazy orange-yellow with a large slowly fading white head. Aroma of citrus, grassy and floral hops, bread and something vegetal. Taste is kind of “vegetallic” and also has caramel, citrus and floral hop qualities to it. Finishes citrus bitter and vegetal with a peppery quality to it. Body is a little oily.
