Some of the beers in the past have been Pyramid’s Apricot ale, Alaskan Brewering Alt ale and Anchor’s Liberty ale. This might be my next choice. A really nice malty nose with a clean dose of caramel malts and a nice nutty character. Appearance is a medium amber color, with an inital creamy head which melted away to near nothing. Flavors are sweet caramel malts, light yeast, a touch of fruit...even some nice butterscotch flavor that was not a detraction. A clean finish, with a medium carbonated mouthfeel. Easy to consume without much gas build-up. Not a bad price at about $8 for a sixer. STEPHENDR (478), California, USA

It has a roasted carmel flavor with a smooth after taste. After a hot day working in the yard, this cerveza was very refreshing. I have purchased 3 cases this past summer and could drink this all year round. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Very mild nose, sweet malt and honey with a hint of toffee. Flavor is a lightly buttered caramel, a bit of toasted malt. A light breadiness is apparent in the finish. Pretty drinkable. onehotsexychic (101), Albany, New York, USA

Note that the first bottle we opened was clearly infected, with a really nasty sourness. Second bottle was from the same sixer and fine. Go figure. Rating from the uninfected sample. Medium amber. Definite sweet corn aroma. Very suagery malt sweetness throughout, no real hops showing up at all to me, despite looking for them. Just too sweet for me.
